It's about the Barack Obama's never-ending quest to divide and conquer this nation by pitting us against each other. The good news is that it's not working. You cannot install communism until you destroy the middle class and create a proletariat. Than you have 5% at the top and 95% at the bottom. That is Obama’s goal and the republicans are doing nothing to stop him.
If the EPA is allowed to shut down 30 coal fired power plants and electricity goes up 20% or more you are going to have the problem of price which means a lot of folks in the south and southwest will not be able to afford to run their AC in the summer and then if we start with the brown outs and black outs we will have the same problem. Those smart meters they are installing on everyone’s house will be recording how much power you are using and at some point they will start shutting you down when its been determined that you have used your alloted electricity for the month.
We are getting ready to install a non grid tied solar system that will run the whole house. If you have the ability to install some type of alternative electrical system by all means do it as soon as possible. I don’t see the congress doing anything to control the EPA. Its a totally out of control rogue agency.
I was getting an inferiority complex seeing all those nice homes going up and higher end cars on the highway. I thought I was a loser until it became obvious that borrowing was totally out of control.
Obama just wants to destroy the middle class. Being a savoir was never his intention.
Eleven years ago I took a commission sales job selling roofing service following a monster hailstorm. I soon realized that there were huge numbers of “McMansions” around this little town and I mean houses that would make 2400 square feet look a tiny cottage. I made some good “licks” selling roofs on them but I couldn’t imagine who had that kind of money, there are a lot of doctors and others in the medical field here but not that many. One day I got into a conversation with a real estate man and he told me that most of those huge houses belonged to couples who both had good jobs and were putting every penny they could scrape into the mortgage. He said they all bought the most expensive house for which they could qualify and had ZERO discretionary income and in fact would never be able to reroof if the insurance had not paid for the roof.
I did an estimate for one man I had known casually for years and I was astounded to see his house, I would never have considered something so large unless I had enough money to pay cash for it. It looked like a small motel in size. He told me they were planning to trade UP!
A very different way to live, indeed! Yes we did it to our self willingly. Television, commercials and billboards are seeking to induce us to buy, buy, buy,

I had friends with very large houses... and when you went inside, most rooms had NO furniture... every dime they had went into the house...

That’s not too hard to figure out: Interest on the mortgage is deductible, interest on the furniture is not. I’ve seen it lots of times.
I have seen that too, I have never understood why people want to spend every spare dime on a huge house. If you are really wealthy then get the big house and all that goes with it but why do people with relatively small incomes want to look as if they have millions and then eat beans because they spent the money for the T-bone on unused housing space? I will never understand that.

Notorious fact of life: People who spend the most time in their bosses' offices get the promotion ..... not the best workers. A study found that fast risers spent up to 41% of their time in with the boss. Face time counts.
I was also told about a medium-sized oil company's CEO, who used to cull his staff based on their wardrobe. Guys who dressed like NYPD Blue's Andy Sipowicz (tie, short sleeves) got run off. The company uniform, completely undeclared and unadvertised, was suits with pocketless suitpants, pocketless white oxford-cloth shirts, and conservative shoes and ties. And persons making a presentation were expected never to have anything in hand -- not even a pencil. Of course, people weren't told this -- the boss was looking for people who knew to look for fashion cues from the top (the most sequacious, power-junkie people, IOW) and get with the program on their own.

We are so inundated with electronics, constant connections with others for no reason at all except daily routines, ... it creates in us a need for these constant contacts. Pointless they may be. Harmless, mostly. What it tends to prevent is any deep thinking, mulling over the conditions of this world, and any artistic or creative direction, be it painting, writing, poetry, discovery, or inventive ideas, etc.
I fear for the future, we may well be hooked up and have to receive down loads directly into our brains. How terrifying is that?
Father God, we know thou art the creator of the universe, we praise and trust thy Scriptures, we look to thee to watch over thy peoples, we belong to thee in our desire to please and love thee, we ask for direction in these troubling times, without thee we can do no thing, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others who trespasses against us, let us not be deceived.
