Call to Arms - All Conservatives Let's Back Newt Gingrich - Calling Palin, Cain & Rush
January 6, 2012 | Ralph Mitchell

Posted on 01/06/2012 5:38:48 PM PST by mitchell001

This is an appeal to all long-time conservatives. Let's start lining up behind Newt Gingrich, as Thomas Sowell, Art Laffer, JC Watts, Jim Robinson (Free Republic honcho) and others have. The hazzard of holding back an endorsement is that the media, pudits and PAC TV commercials will continue to shape negative opinion against Newt and we may lose our best conservative warrior. The result of the media, pundit and PAC TV onslaught may cause the nominee to be Romney or Santorum. Romney is a moderate and Santorum does not have the experience to Push the conservative agenda in the general election or if elected in the Washington DC - Congressional War Zone. I want to urge Sarah Palin, Herman Cain and Rush Limbaugh to endorse Gingrich now before they lose their voice to the LOUD voices of the media, pundit and PAC TV. He who hesitates is lost.

Newt-Palm Time!! Love it.

From the video clips in the link posted in comment 129, this could cause Mittens some loss of sleep/votes.

Someone needs to do a dedicated thread on the story. Here is the link again.

Now they are tweeting about Romney and money laundering.

We are going to need LOTS of popcorn. Especially when the 27 minute feature film is available.

LOL, why, well, because you always go for the easy target first and it has worked so well in the past. Perry is polling at 1% in NH targeting him would be a waste of money.

Actually poll results show the old white guys and women are the ones that do no trust him, the age group that seems to support him were teenagers when he was driven from office.

Rick Santorum on 2nd ammendment!
Coming from Pennsylvania, a state with a rich heritage of hunting and fishing, Senator Santorum understands firsthand the importance of preserving our constitutionally protected rights found in the 2nd Amendment. Senator Santorum fights to preserve this tradition, and will work to ensure these rights are not infringed upon.

Rick Santorum is committed to celebrating the family by reviving our economy and creating jobs in America again with a smarter and simpler tax code. Santorum will roll back job-killing regulations, force the federal government to shrink and live within its means by passing a Balanced Budget Amendment and reinvigorate our domestic manufacturing and energy potential. His vision for America is to restore America’s greatness through the promotion of faith, family and freedom.

if Barack Obama has taught us anything, it’s that experience matters. Rick Santorum has that experience – serving 8 years on Senate Armed Services Committee, authoring the Iran Freedom and Support Act in 2004 and the Syrian Accountability Act. In fact, Rick Santorum has recognized the looming threat of Iran’s nuclear ambitions for nearly a decade – standing tall against both Republicans and Democrats who have discounted and dismissed the reality that this radical theocracy is intent on destroying Israel and western civilization.

Ps I know Newt is really conservative and I like his tough stances on Iran, Israel and China but I’m just saying if Newt implodes we either support Rick S or it is Willard!

Huh?
I’m A Newt guy now! He might implode though! Then I go to Rick!

Newt has already started fighting the media. Santorum is too weak, he will get ground up by the political machine and the media machine, should he ever make it to DC. Gingrich lawyer issues Notice and Demand Regarding Advertisements Concerning Speaker Newt Gingrich "It has recently come to our attention that your station has either been asked to run, or may soon be asked to run, various advertising spots produced by the Mitt Romney aligned SuperPAC “Restore Our Future” or Romney for President, the principal campaign committee of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Included among the Romney advertisements submitted to your station for broadcast are likely to be various advertisements which specifically mention Speaker Gingrich and purport to quote or reference the findings of a 1997 report issued by the House Select Committee on Ethics (the “Report”).

The content of these advertisements state and/or suggest that, Speaker Gingrich was “fined” $300,000 for “violations” of congressional rules. These statements are NOT TRUE. In fact, ANY statement, suggestion, or innuendo that Speaker Gingrich was assessed a congressional fine for violations of House Ethics Rules is fundamentally false and misleading. If published after your receipt of this letter, it will be a knowing publication of a false statement. As such, it represents a defamatory communication which exposes this station to potential civil liability. In turn, we do hereby DEMAND that your station immediately REFUSE, and if started, CEASE airing any such advertisements and refrain from broadcasting their content until such time as the libelous statements have been removed." http://gretawire.foxnewsinsider.com/2012/01/06/gispeaker-gingrich-says-it-is-false-and-defamatory-he-unleashes-his-lawyer-about-romney-superpac-and-official-romney-ads-for-president/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+foxnewsin

Why is that? Guess I’m not savvy enough but that doesn’t seem to cinch the necessary delegates to put him over the top.

Momentum! If he Romney wins SC he will win Florida. Probably all the midwest and West so game over!

When Newt speaks at a debate, I’m on the edge of my chair waiting to hear what he has to say. I like the maturity he has, and his message. I especially like it when he takes the press to task and humiliates them. My caucus is Feb. 7th and I won’t feel bad at all casting a vote for Newt.

With all due respect, there is every reason to believe that the nominee will not have been able to clinch the deal before April - if then.

End of January? Highly unlikely, although by the conclusion of the Florida primary it is possible that we could be down to a two man race, plus the loony gynecologist.

I’m already backing Newt. Started the day that Cain quit and because of the Lincoln-Douglas style debate between Cain and Gingrich.

What did you think of Newt after he backed down when Santorum took him up on his offer?
