OBAMA TO SHARE SECRETS (Will give Russians top secret missile data, if they promise to be good!)
WT ^ | Bill gertz

President Obama signaled Congress this week that he is prepared to share U.S. missile defense secrets with Russia.

U.S. officials are planning to provide Moscow with the SM-3 data, despite reservations from security officials who say that doing so could compromise the effectiveness of the system by allowing Russian weapons technicians to counter the missile. The weapons are considered some of the most effective high-speed interceptors in the U.S. missile defense arsenal.

There are also concerns that Russia could share the secret data with China and rogue states such as Iran and North Korea to help their missile programs defeat U.S. missile defenses.

Section 1227 of the new defense law prohibits spending any funds that would be used to give Russian officials access to sensitive missile-defense technology, as part of a cooperation agreement without first sending Congress a report identifying the specific secrets, how they would be used and steps to protect the data from compromise.

The president also must certify to Congress that Russia will not share the secrets with other states and that it will not help Russia “to develop countermeasures” to U.S. defenses.

The certification also must show whether Russia is providing equal access to its missile defense technologies, which are mainly nuclear-tipped anti-missile interceptors.

Mr. Obama said in the signing statement that he would treat the legal restrictions as “non-binding.”

“While my administration intends to keep the Congress fully informed of the status of U.S. efforts to cooperate with the Russian Federation on ballistic missile defense, my administration will also interpret and implement section 1244 in a manner that does not interfere with the president’s constitutional authority to conduct foreign affairs and avoids the undue disclosure of sensitive diplomatic communications,” Mr. Obama said, incorrectly identifying the section of the law containing the restrictions.

Obama how decides which part of a law he will follow, and which part he will ignore.

How posibly could the US know if Putin slips this data to the PRC, the NORKS, Iran, etc?

This is impeachable idiocy.

We don’t only have an Obama problem. We have a problem in that 68 million people were stupid enough to vote for him in the first place — all egged on by a Marxist press.

You got it! And the penalty for treason in time of war is death. And, most important, there is NO Statute of Limitations for treason.

President Obama is, unfortunately, right on this one. Congress doesn’t have authority to tell a president how to conduct foreign relations.

Perhaps voters should have considered this before they made an American-hating Marxist our president (you don’t try to fundamentally transform something you love). This also doesn’t count as treason, because we aren’t at war with Russia. Even if it WAS treason, we have no effective way to impeach a president whose party controls the Senate.

Oh, good Lord:

>>” Russia will not share the secrets with other states and that it will not help Russia “to develop countermeasures” to U.S. defenses.”

That’s impossible to monitor or verify - except in its breach. and then it’s too late.

Congress has to stop this.

It is more than just a bit absurd that the question is - Will the Russians share these secrets? - when Obama is the one sharing these secrets in the first place.

Why wouldn’t they?

This is treason in broad daylight.

The question here is WHY?

WHY does the Muslim want to do this?

What do we get in return?

What possible sense does it make to hand Russia our missile secrets?

Again this fool sells us out cheaply.

Old Maxim:
Keep your enemies close
Keep the enemies of your enemy closer

Would this make Obumo the “pimp-in-chief”
It seems like he is determined to give all out technolgy and military secrets away... missles ,unmanned drones, etc.
Funny how he gives away stuff, and we get nothing in return,..just saying.

I’m reminded of a video game, when once I was playing so badly that it stopped and asked “Are you trying to lose?”
