This, unfortunately, is a self-reinforcing delusional fantasy based on what people want to believe. Sad to see fairly intelligent people like Rush falling for it.
Polling is quite consistent that Romney does much better against Obama in a general election than any of the other candidates, and I’m sure the same is true of the Obama camp’s internal polling.
Now that Limbaugh has said it, maybe people will pull their heads out.
The demonrats will tell you which candidates they’re afraid of, but with their actions, not their propaganda.
I’ve seen very few people mention the racist policies of the Mormon Church. Not saying Mormon’s are racists but officially blacks for example couldn’t join the Mormon Church until the 70’s or so.
If history is any indicator, they are going to hit mitt hard with proof the Mormon Church is racist. It would not be hard to do, and Mormon’s are not a large voting block so it would be safe to do so.
He is not the weakest candidate but he is the most vulnerable. The dems will capitalize on every facit of his past (and future) bot factual and lies.
They are all weak candidates including Obama and even Hillary. Classless fools.
For a variety of reasons it is going to be hard for the Democrats to use the Mormon thing specifically.
And it’s a waste of time to go with the Mormons are racists meme, because the Democrats have the black vote sewn up anyway.
The Democrat strategy will indeed be based on instilling fear; and they can more easily do that with Gingrich and the fear of all your government goodies being taken away (they can roll out the good ‘ol out of context “Medicare should wither on the vine” video) and for Santorum, obviously they’ll roll with him being a fanatical Social Conservative who will ban abortion, put gays in concentration camps. etc.
It was this way in 2008...The dems “selected” McCain to run against Obama...They effectively eliminated Guiliani, Hunter, and Thompson by innuendo and blackball exposure by the media.Those were the three strongest conservative candidates in 2008.
They are doing it again this election with Gingrich and Herman Cain...

Nominating Romney would hand Obama a “Get Out of Jail Free” card on ObamaCare. You don’t think that with the SCOTUS decision coming down that ObamaCare won’t be a major issue? Well, just nominate Romney and POOF! the ObamaCare issue disolves. And if ObamaCare is not wholly repealed the Republic will surely come to ruins.
The GOP knows Romney is the weakest candidate to run opposite Obama. I’m starting to wonder if the GOP are trying to tank the election so Obama owns the whole economic depression. Only the people will toss Obama out on his ear and we will be stuck with Romney. Just kcufing swell.

Obama wants Romney because Romney is younger than Gingrich and looks cooler too. Fighting an old man with gray hair (McCain) is like fighting somebody’s grandfather — it’s so uncool, especially to college kids. Gingrich is a chubby old man with gray hair and it wouldn’t look good for Obama to take him on. If Gingrich smoked the same cigarettes as Obama then that would be different but Gingrich doesn’t smoke and his wife wears jewelry to hide her self. Now, Obama is still tops in the Kewl poll coming out of Hollywood and there was some talk of Matt Damon replacing Biden — Biden is too old with his gray phony hair — and even talk about Hilary if she lost some weight and had a face lift. Obama knows that this election is important and if America is to be respected in the eyes of the world then they have to have some really cool people in government.

The racist meme is GOLD among liberal and even moderate whites.
Nominate a Mormon racist nut and the Republicans will get what they deserve... Four more years of socialism under Obama. And Reid and Pelosi BOTH back in power.
