More shocking is how well Huntsman is doing.

Lots of independents in NH going for Paul, Huntsman, and Romney. Gingrich and Santorum tied for fourth, Time for the R party to start keeping Democrats and Independents from voting in their primaries. How did this happen?

Mitt Romney (R LOL) ......36% ...7,292 Votes
Ron Paul (R LOL) ............24% ...4,912 Votes
Jon Huntsman (R LOL) ....16% ...3,117 Votes

76% of the vote goes to these men in a Republican primary? Wow.

Folks, we really do need to clean up our nomination process.

There is no reason why NH should always go so early. It makes as much sense as having Texas, Utah, and Wyoming go early in a Democrat primary.

Gingrich with 4th here and 4/5th, depending on how the votes play out now needs to win in SC or he’s out.

I agree. NO late deciders went to Newt.

I’ve lived in blue, deep blue areas before.

There’s absolutely no excuse for supporting Mitt Romney because he ‘sounds good’. Absolutely none.

Why?
Perry didn’t even campaign in NH.

Perry is hanging around til Super Tuesday...NH is a state that is going 75% Romney/Paul/Huntsman...unlikely that Perry, the strongest conservative in the race, would get many votes.

I’m in NH on the Massachusetts border. The last time I voted in a presidential primary the parking lot was filled with cars from MA. They were voting in the primary to make sure a bad candidate was chosen for the Republicans. I didn’t see any MA plates this time. I hope that’s a sign that the Democrats don’t care if Obama isn’t reelected.

29% of voters in 2008’s election cycle were independents. You can’t win national elections without them. That’s why.

This isn't a national election...it's a primary. Let registered REPUBLICANS pick their candidate...let 'independents' make their decision between parties on Election Day.

Paul overperforming points to a heavy influx of independents. Why doesn’t the Republican party control it’s own nomination process? How did it happen that everyone gets to vote for the R nominee?

Really...

Please.

So Massholes can come up and deem they will move up and vote? The same dolts that gave us McLame?

Do you think we will ever get a "Reagan" again with the Carnivals that Iowa and NH have become, and the front loading?

The Republican Party in NH has to pull their heads out of their asses and close it down to registered Republicans only, what a farce...

Keep your powder dry.

They ain't gone down to the Old Confederacy yet. It's gonna get REAL hot down there in South Carolina. Even with the media arrayed in support of Romney, he could get kicked real good. One thing is for sure. Conservatives have got to coalesce and quit splitting the anti-Romney vote. Somebody in the conservative camp has to follow Bachmann and drop within the next day or so, and endorse the "anti-Romney". D*mmit.

PS The US media is so unethical, I am listening to ABC news and they are saying who the nominee is going to be or not going to be. That is up to the VOTERS. I have never heard this kind of talk in electoral return tabulations in Japan. They give each candidate equal time, they dont put up a screen with just the top three but put up everybody, and they dont dare say "this one or that one will win their party's nomination". Sam Donaldson is the WORST.

Perry needs to drop out—there is no way with just 1% in NH is he going to do anything in South Carolina except waste anti-Romney votes.

the parking lot was filled with cars from MA. They were voting in the primary to make sure a bad candidate was chosen for the Republicans.

How is that possible? Is the registration process in NH so inept that people who legally reside in MA can come up and register in NH?
