Clint Eastwood made the following observation about Mitt Romney:
"You have to admit he looks like a president," a sarcastic Eastwood told the newspaper, adding he ran into Romney when he was filming Mystic River in Massachusetts. "I mean, if you were casting a movie where you needed someone to play president, you'd definitely pick him." See: http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-11-09/news/30379840_1_herman-cain-mitt-romney-clint-eastwood
When I heard that some Tea Party members voted for Romney in New Hampshire, I concluded that some Americans no longer care about the issues, and want a President who looks good on TV.
Rick Perry recently decribed Romney as "one handsome dude". In the 2008 election, David Letterman made several jokes on Romney's Matinee Idol looks. Romney is supposed to be 64 years old. When most of us were growing up, 64 year olds did not look like Romney, they looked more like Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul look today.
Romney is a RINO like McCain. But he is a much better looking RINO, with better hair, which means that he may get more votes than McCain. If Romney does not beat Obama, he can always get an acting job in Hollywood if he wants to, where he can play the role of President of the United States. He looks more "Presidential" than Martin Sheen looked in the NBC show, "The West Wing".
But he complained that the American voters rejected him, because he was a bald and unattractive guy. The last time that Americans voted for a bald man for President, was Dwight Eisenhower in 1952. But most Americans did not own TVs in 1952. In today's TV era, a politician performs for the camera, just like a Hollywood actor.
That explains Obama for sure....
Okay, someone PLEASE tell me where to look to find Romney’s “handsomeness”, because I just do not see it and never have. He has a bland, vanilla, very ordinary look, IMO. And he isn’t aging well. His face looks bloated and baggy.
And good hair? LOL! I guess so, if you like the “I just combed my hair with a porkchop” look. So 1950s, baby.
Hasn’t helped Rick Perry.

And I blame the remote control for our short attention spans and our inability to...oh look, a bird....
I think Romney has HORRIBLE hair. It looks artificial, for one thing, and as for the rest of his face, that looks plastic, too.
I don’t think he’s even remotely handsome and I am always amazed when I read people commenting on his good looks. There’s no accounting for taste, I guess!
“You have to admit he looks like a president,”
Too many voters will vote for a man who looks presidential, not who has the best qualifications or policies.
Case in Point...1960 debate between Kennedy and Nixon.
Those who heard the debate on RADIO said Nixon wiped the floor with Kennedy.
Those who saw the debate on TV said Kennedy won because he “looked” more presidential.
It didn’t help John Kerry. It didn’t help Al Gore. It didn’t help Hillary (who had a hair stylist and maybe a couple of wigs at the time.)
And Phil Gramm wasn’t a very powerful, or persuasive, speaker. He looked just fine.
Given the examples of Edwards and RINOmney, perhaps good hair comes from using brain matter to create the follicles.
LOL! My wife doesn’t think he’s handsome either, but she does think he looks like someone that would be cast as a president in a movie, whatever that means. She thinks Rick Perry is the best looking of the group. Don’t ask me, I don’t pick out the “cutest” guys, I leave that to the women.
I agree with your wife. Perry is handsome - a manly guy. Romney is a girly man.

LOL!
That’s why Trump decided not to run.
Well, here we are. No Newt. And we have this so called businessman that has no idea how the Federal Government works. Get ready for almost nothing done for the first or second year. Well, it seems that is what America wants. At least Newt had the best plan and he knew the inner workings of the Federal System and still had some outside experience. And he had a hard personal life.
LOL, that’s probably best!
“I agree with your wife. Perry is handsome - a manly guy. Romney is a girly man.”
Unfortunately, I suspect a large portion of the younger voters prefer girly men. I base this on the popularity of the term “metrosexual”, the increasing sales of male cosmetics, and the election of Barack Obama.
He looks like Ted Bundy’s uncle to me. Same smile even.
I am -not- getting into his car.
Since I’m bald, and not President, I’d say ‘Yes’.
