It’s over. Our nominee has been chosen, and the chief criteria of his choosing has been his unelectability. Almost anyone could beat Obama this time — but not Romney; hence his selection.

I am very surprised that Milts people are surprised Bain came up. What exactly are they going to do when team Obummer throws a curve ball? Some heads up organization. No wonder the Rove types love him. They are incompetent.

“Duncan Hunter raised a Bain issue. And Mike Huckabee raised the Bain issue ... “People are looking for a presidential candidate who reminds them more of the guy they work with rather than the guy that laid them off.””

Put a fork in Willard the Lib/Vulture! He’s done.

It seems Newt has figured out that this attack could have worked better without damaging himself. It is a fine needle to thread and it needed to be refined and targeted to hit Romney and not capitalism. It could have been done with more thought and he seems to know that now.

Time will tell who it hurt the most.

Here’s the facts:
Romney won Iowa by 8 votes (if he won at all)
NH is one of his home states
Both states allow independent/rats crossover and vote
Both states will have delegates divided (No winner take all till later this spring)

AND YET
The MSM says Mitt has won.

And the three conservatives: Newt,Rick and Rick are dividing the ABM vote.

Need to have a talk with those guys.

they were largely unprepared for an assault that came so early in the campaign and from within the ranks of their own party ...

Remind me. How much money did the Romney Campaign spend to "explain to the citizens of Iowa" how Newt's work for Freddie Mac caused the Housing Crisis? And they're surprised that someone might try the same thing on them. Give me a break.

Exactly. I hope they get what's coming to them in spades.

Looting companies for fun and profit has its consequences, as mr. Romney the used car salesman will soon find out. These things have a way of coming back to bite you in the ass.

If the MSM and the RINO republican elite foist Romney on us then these early Bain attacks will be nothing compared to what the dems will be running 24/7 against Mitt.

Romney deserves these attacks, he got them the old fashioned way, he earned them! To paraphrase an old advertizing quip....When Romney talks, people wince.

I like Santorum but he simple doesn’t have Newt’s ability to destroy the MSM and take it to the corrupt democratic machine.

The only possible path to victory is with Newt, warts and all.

If Newt is not the nominee then someday soon all of us will be watching the first presidential debate and saying to ourselves “If only Newt was up there instead of this turkey”

We all know that the debates will be rigged (as always) and that whoever sponsors the debate will slip the questions and answers to Zero. The debate moderators will be liberals with a bunch of gotcha questions aimed at the republican nominee. Even in such a circumstance Newt will be better prepared than Zero....no matter how much he has been coached. With debate abilities like Newt’s it’s as if time stands still and he can ponder the question and answer for as long as he likes...the man is never at a loss for what to say, he never has to think to himself later “Damn! if only I’d have thought of that”

This is the time to push forward a man who can fight and win.... it simply does not matter that he is flawed. At this critical moment it only matters that he can defeat the enemy.

Make no mistake, Newt is the one they live in fear of. He cannot be controlled, he cannot be restrained, he will say the things they dread to hear and at the worst possible moments.

When Newt exercised power what did he do? what were the results of what he did? Were you pleased? These are the true measure of the man.

How could Obama remind anyone of someone they worked with? Did he ever have a real job? I’ve seen him put on that condecending way of speaking to the little people like he’s one of them, I guess they fall for it.

The primary process is simply the E-Pubs way of letting us think we have a voice in this process. It seems to be working really well, people on this Forum are regularly at each other cheering for first one loser then another.

They have made their decision, now it is decision time for us, we need to come together and fight them because, we will not have another opportunity.

Romney is not the cure he is the disease. The other candidates better get together and figure how they can derail this train to totalitarianism.

Speaker Newt led Republicans....the result.

FOUR consecutive balance budgets
$500 billion in cuts
Welfare major reform
11 million jobs added
Unemployment at 4%

***

I believe that which you describe are called ...Newtron Bombs.

WAPO editorializing about those today, in fact. Saying how Newt will be forced out of the “in” crowd for his misbehaviors ...

I say BUNK to that. Newt’s just the a-hole we need at a time like this.

GREAT post, Bobalu.
