so it is more like natural light and that is why it could cause sleep issues for some people but the answer for them is simple just make sure the bed room is dark and to those of you who hate the cool white light and prefer warm white. this is supposed to be a free marked let those that want cool white have it.

Thanks aimhigh.
White LED light (which is actually blue light on the spectrum) is emitted at short wavelengths of between 440-500 nanometers. The study showed that this type of light suppresses the bodyâs production of Melatonin five times more than the orange-yellow light given off by traditional high-pressure sodium (HPS) bulbs.

I had a number of projects where we replaced the HPS fixtures with 8-lamp T8 fluorescent fixtures using a 5000K color temp lamp.
458 watts per HPS fixture versus 210 watts per fluorescent fixture. The energy savings alone would usually provide a “payback” of less than one year to do the retrofit.
It made the plants look brighter and cleaner and the employees absolutely loved it.

I like the dark too. Used to live out in the sticks (loved it) it never ceased to amaze me. City people move out into the country to get away and the first thing the do is to erect their own street light!

Even before we retired to the home we bought adjoining my part of the old family farm, the first thing I did was call the electric co-op and have them install a cutoff switch on the pole security light.
For one thing, I like astronomy, particularly watching meteor showers...

I drive a Mercedes. It’s the lights on the Lamborghinis and Bentleys that bother me!

When I drive my Bentley my lights don't bother me at all.
