I’m not sure who ‘them’ are. I know the GOP chair Matt Strawn and he’s not the kind of guy to put a fix on things, even if he could. I know some of the other leadership and state central committee people directly or we are friends on Facebook - alot of them are Paul people and I don’t know all that many who would even lean Romney.

One of the team doing all the logistical work - I and another guy were her two sidekicks for the last Congressional campaign in our district, and she’s definitely honest. In fact she did alot to tighten up the process this time.

Somebody at state could the last minute could have posted numbers not jiving with what a county reported. Or someone from the county could have reported bogus results than what the precinct chair reported. It would require there being a close race, your candidate is in contention, you knowing about it, and either the reporting or gathering of the results was completely unsupervised.

In most sites the Ron Paul people, to their credit, were all over doing observation. Not saying something could have happened, but it is unlikely. I’d wager human error would happen before fraud.

Iowa’s aren’t even pledged. They can vote for anyone.

Santorum should start every response to questions about whether he can win by starting with, “As the winner in Iowa...”.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean someone is not out to get you.

This website can be pathetic sometimes. Everyone wants to be a victim and the hand wringing gets old

I can tell you that I know many of these people and there's not a more honest bunch running any state organization than those in Iowa.

But you would rather have Santorum lose so you can accuse these honest people of being corrupt. It may not occur to you that it's just possible that Romney legitimately won Iowa.

Boy are you touchy. I’m from Massachusetts. I wouldn’t put anything past any elected official. I don’t trust any of them.

You have insulted and disparaged the reputation of people I KNOW to be honorable and I am not going to sit by and watch you do that without speaking up.

I totally trust these people to be honest. It is possible for Romney to have a legitimate win.

Of course it’s possible for Romney to have a legitimate win, but with last minute shenanigans, found votes, transposition errors, and an eight vote margin, the result becomes questionable, especially when mountains have been moved to give Romney momentum.

In your mind, unless Santorum wins, the Iowa “establishment” found votes, transposition errors, and moved mountains to give Romney momentum and I’m telling you, you will be wrong.

unfortunately romney was able to ride the wave on his win, which can never be taken back

btw why did santorum get ignored in last night’s debate?

Hello! Romney already has momentum from the “Romney Wins Iowa” headline. It won’t matter if Santorum acutually won or not. That’s my point.

Thank you but if you’re going to accuse our people at RPI of being corrupt, I’m going to stand up for them because I know better.
