Newt’s daughters sent a letter to ABC and asked them to pull the story, Newt said he sent them proof the story was false. So, you can’t say Newt has exactly been planning this boxing match....he tried to stop it. I sincerely believe he was PISSSED being asked about this. His voice in my opinion was totally sincere about everything he said. I think he was embarrassed about the whole thing and like I said, he tried to stop it. He deserves all the accolades for this one.
I agree, and I think Rush does, too, if I'm hearing him right. I disagree with Rush when he says King wasn't humiliated. I think King was mortified and embarassed -- Newt delivered a blow that gratified a whole lotta of us Americans out here! Godspeed Newt Gingrich.
Yes there is but it is better to rally around a set of ideas and agenda than to just go to the polls "pissed off". It'll result in a wider margin of victory and establish a voter mandate.
It's called 'standing in the breech' in the face of fire and John King cut and ran when he equivocated and tried to dodge Newt's criticsm. In other words, he definitely was embarrassed (if not worse) and looked uncomfortable the rest of the night (wet undies will do that to 'ya!). He might be exhibiting bravado today, but we all saw what happened last night .....
