I am offended that she thinks it was racist of me to set the bar for my child and tell him if he wanted “things” he would have to work for them while keeping good grades. It’s too bad that children of her race cannot expected to do the same. I was branded as a hater for mentioning to a coworker who was having difficulty paying for her child at college that her child might have to get a part time job to help out just as my son had done. She said her daughter was too busy running for homecoming queen. Now, that’s where some peoples values lie, yet they still play the race card.
