Joe K3 ‘excited’ to get his feet wet in politics (At 31, he lives with Mom.)
Boston Herald ^ | 1/21/12 | O'Ryan Johnson

He’s still living with his mother in Cambridge, but 31-year-old Joseph P. Kennedy III said he’ll move soon into the 4th Congressional District and begin charting a possible run for Barney Frank’s open seat. (snip)

Kennedy appeared with Gov. Deval Patrick’s former spokesman Kyle Sullivan and was far more professional than his first encounter with the Herald two weeks ago, when he called the reporter “dude” then said he was at work and couldn’t answer any questions.

He's 31.

And lives with Mom.

Just got engaged though. Next step is to actually move into Bawney's district so he can run, though I guess he doesn't have to do that, legally?

The Herald takes note of his "dude" comments. Ironically enough when Barney Frank's boyfriend Jim Ready (pronounced to rhyme with "weedy") confronted Frank's 2010 GOP challenger Sean Bielat, he called Sean "dude" a couple times and now Ready is nicknamed Dude by Howie Carr

I’m quite sure the media is going to dwell for weeks on the fact that he lives off of old money, is the so-called 1%, etc....

1. I’ve lived in this district (not part of Bawney’s originally) my entire life. I want my REPRESENTIVE (JoeK3 should look up definition of the word) to actually be from this area and CARE about this area! Just parachuting in and declaring yourself from here doesn’t make him one of us! This a relatively “conservative” area(this is Mass. don’t forget)!

2. If he wants to “get his feet wet”, how about trying to run for town meeting member, planning board, school committee, selectman....or even the Massachusetts house! The rest of the world starts in local government - just because he’s a frakking Kennedy he thinks he can start with US rep.

3. GO BIELAT GO!

You entirely misunderstand the Kennedy Legacy....The Kennedy Legacy isn't about you being competently represented. It is about the Kennedy continuum. You are just chattel in the Kennedy Realm.

Joe K-Cubed is ready to assume control of the realm (in which you live), and it is not YOUR place to complain. It is by Royal right young Joe K-Cubed does this. You accept and you abide, and pledge your fealty with your vote - or die.

If arrogance was an Olympic event, this guy would be too arrogant to bother to compete.

I wouldn’t bet against him winning.

This is nothing new for the Kennedy’s. They run on their name, and the people of Mass. love that name.

Another trust fund kid who believes he should be in charge of telling us ordinary mortals how to live.

None of them would know a days work if it bit them on the can.

One more reason I’m glad I no longer live in Mass-****-chusetts.

Another Kennedy? Not just no but HELL NO. Are voters just serfs and chattel? Why do American voters reward the notion of inherited political power concentrated in a few families, by rubber-stamping dynasties from coast to coast. For example, Los Angeles has the Hahns (from memory... 1 mayor, 2 city council members, 1 state rep., 1 DA, 1 congresswoman) and Mass. has the Kennedys. I’m sure it happens in other localities and it’s as anti-American as the Red Coats.

"2. If he wants to “get his feet wet”, how about trying to run for town meeting member..."

When a Kennedy wants to get his feet wet, he merely takes a campaign aide for a midnight ride...

JK III lives with his mommy. I wonder if he is a typical lib living in the basement of mommy’s house.
