Newt Gingrich for President is absolutely who we should support

America, Conservatives and Republicans.

We must support Newt Gingrich.

He is a man of many accomplishments who gave us Welfare Reform, A Balanced Budget, and Reduced Taxes.

Further, he brought us a Republican Majority when we were lost in the desert and the GOP establishment said it couldn't be done.

Newt is the only candidate who thinks of big ideas, studies the challenges in achieving very difficult goals and then through, his leadership, explains how we are going to do it and then marshals them into eventuality.

Newt helped us achieve the above through his plan known as the Contract with America.

Newt has identified what is important to America, at this time and has a new plan that reflects the ideals every one of us has.

The 21st Century Contract with America is a Bold and Audacious initiative.

We will absoulutely have a Super Majority in the Congress and will have, at a minimum, a Majority in the Senate and God willing a Super Majority.

Think about that! Put your personality issues aside.

Newt has a real plan, that for all us, is an imperative.

With our majorities in the Congress and Senate he will have the power and ability to carry out that 21st Century Contract with America.

Let me explain below:

I try to be fair and even here to discus topics that FR brings to light to further knowledge and personal wisdom. However, anyone who hasn't figured out by now that Paul is a mental case is not paying attention. I'm voting for Newt, as I have consistently said since the begining when there were 8, but if you want to vote for Santorum, that's fine by me. Now that leaves Mitt and Paul. Try to imagine Mitt against Obama. He is the architect of Obama care and I don't think anyone can wiggle out of that piece of film that will be showed on a loop for months. He voted for an gun ban, abortion, and gay marriage. Many would even say he's not a Christian. He's a loser against Obama. It will be the same as McCain or Dole. Just a bunch of mush against a Socialist/Marxist. Then you have Paul. He's a mental case. I live in Texas and he was my congressman for awhile till I moved. I've tried to be a libertarian, but just can't get past the platform. It's a bunch of ideological claptrap that has NO practical application. So far we have been talking about right and wrong ideals that we could survive if we were wrong. Paul, OTOH, would allow a nuke to explode in NYC to make a point. He's not rational. This goes beyond some founding Father ideal that he has misread. It is sheer lunacy. He has no clue what the 12th Imam is or what they play's in Shiite religion. They aren't like the N. Koreans or the Russians, who might not want to die. Iranians have already made the statement they are willing to lose 60 million to attack Israel because that guarantee's paradise for them. You can't treat Iran like you would the Soviet Union because they are mentally ill and WANT to die for the cause. Paul doesn't get that. He's an idiot. He and you, believe you have the inside track on the Founders and the Constitution, but in fact we attacked the Barbary Pirates early in our history and had many military adventures in the early days of the Republic. I know what Washington said in his Farewell speech and it was wonderful, but you can't defend the country without putting some lead downrange.

You are just misinformed if you think Newt would "tinker" with the EPA, or anything else. Newt IS the change agent you are looking for, but you are so stuck on a madman, you haven't bothered to look at the other candidates. Paul hasn't got a chance in hell of getting past 3rd place anywhere and if we nominate him, he will lose so big it will be embarrassing. Wishing it wasn't that way won't get him elected and will most assuredly result in another 4 for Obama.

If you don't like Newt, fine for for Mitt or Santorum, but it is lunacy to even think that Paul has a chance in hell. Mitt will lose to Obama because he is a RINO from Massachusetts. That leaves Santorum and Newt. Santorum will lose because he is a loser from Penn that backs the unions. I would hate to see another 4 years of Obama because Newt got a divorce. The safety of the country comes first in my book.

I attended a GA townhall with Newt Gingrich in late Oct. He spoke at length about his 21st Century Contract For America and also his ideas about the EPA. I agree with Newt that we have to have some basic standards such as clean drinking water etc. He plans to replace the EPA with a small streamlined agency that will work with business to find solutions that help the environment but that will not jeopardize our standard of living or get in the way of corporations to do business. Ethanol is just one part of the story. Gingrich plans to cut out the regs so the coal industry can crank back up again and he is going to drill baby drill. This is what we need to be doing.

The Ethanol subsidy question is in the public domain for debate. As time goes by it will become more and more apparent that the most inefficient way to produce ethanol is from corn. As I understand it the legislature is already planning to cut out the ethanol corn subsidy anyway. Sugar is a much better way to go with ethanol.

None of us is going to find a presidential candidate that we agree 100% with. I’m going with Newt because I agree with him about 90% of the time. Maybe we can all change his mind about the Ethanol corn subsidy.

Gingrich is a socialist

"Socialist" is an epithet tossed around as promiscuously as "RINO" on FR these days. It no longer conveys meaningful information, because it means something different to each person who uses it.

That’s hardly the only problem with Gingrich, its just one part of his small government conservatism that is anything but small.

A small government conservative would eliminate the EPA and let the market decide which industries can stand or fall. If they can’t survive without incentives, they are a failure.

Hahaha. Too bad Paul, only talks the talk...and every now and then the truth comes out about how he really is a lefty and hasn’t amounted to a thing during his long career in politics.

He does make a great cult leader though.

We love Uncle Dr. Paul, and promise to take care of him no matter how far gone he becomes.

I think Newt has harsh criticism and a major overhaul planned for the EPA. I believe he is well aware of the threat the EPA has been on American successes and will make the needed changes, starting with tossing out everyone and beginning anew.

Socialism is a very real thing, and if you ignore it, it will come back to haunt you. Gingrich believes the government is the solution to all problems. Look at the 1989 environmental bill he cosponsored with Nancy Pelosi. Or the climate change legislation he currently supports that will destroy small business.

You have got to be kidding me!

Name anyone who can match Newt’s accomplishments on what were important issues and then name anyone who has a new plan of initiatives.

people like you aren’t voting for someone, you are voting to be something in your ideal world we shouldn’t be.

So who is your ideal candidate in this race and why is he/she the best candidate.

What do they stand for? Why is it important.

Oh, and Eff Paul, my Kuhrazee Uncle or Mitt the Weathervane who actually has no position or specific plan for whatever his ideas for America are.
