Down goes Juan Williams. Down goes John King. Down goes the media elites. And, down goes the Dick Morris who told us Rick Santorum won the debate on Thursday night.

After Thursday’s debate was over in Charleston, I assumed that Newt had not only survived the Marianne episode, but had benefitted from it. I also figured he would win S.C. and that Santorum would fade as a challenger to him. Everyone I knew who saw the debate reached this same conclusion.
Yet as incredible as it may seem, all day Friday we were treated to multiple reviews from members of the conservative media on how Rick Santorum “won” the Thursday night debate in Charleston and that how this would help him in South Carolina. Dick Morris flatly proclaimed that Santorum did so well he might sweep in and take second from Newt Gingrich. Morris also predicted this would mean a S.C. win and nomination for Mitt Romney.
Charles Krauthammer, meanwhile, admitted that Newt won it “in the first three minutes” but that Santorum had a very strong night after that.
And I’m thinking: what debate did these folks watch? Do they not pay attention to the crowd reaction? Do they not know what it indicates? Admittedly, Santorum got off some attacks that might have seemed like good hits, but they fell flat in the hall. When millions are downloading Newt vs King on You tube, how can you possibly say Newt DIDN’T win!? That was about the only exchange that will be remembered and that’s all anybody needed. I’ve watched that about 12 times! It’s currently my favorite TV show! 3 minutes of fun!!

There were a few negative comments by RINO’s but that reflects RINO fear!!!!
Very annoying show on Friday; in fact, pretty much a waste of three hours.
To modify a phrase, Rush was being too coy by half. If he's not careful, he's going to alienate a lot of his audience.
And if you want to know what really happened or is going to happen, just take the opposite view of his opinion. The guy is never right about anything. I can’t stand to see or hear him.
Permit to to reiterate that this is the SOB who accompanied then-Senator Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. to Kenya to campaign for Raila Odinga. Odinga is a Communist. A Terrorist. A Jihadist. and a thoroughgoing East German trained Marxist rabble-rouser from a long line of terrorist rabble-rousers in Kenya. He is also a Luo who calls Obama "Cousin."
Aftrer Odinga lost the Kenya elections, monitored by the UN, he began a reign of terror. Thousands of Christians were burned in their own churches by his thugs. Hundreds of thousands were made homeless. He threatened full-blown civil war.
Obama campaigned relentlessly to have him declared Prime Minister with the UN and SOS. He raised millions for the SOB,m and even invited him to the inauguration! Dick Morris and Obama were joined at the hip as they stumped Kenya for Odinga. Morris was paid by the Clinton Foundation via a Soros pass-through.
Now in a all-too-carefully-choreographed move, he turns on his Kenyan buddy? No way José. The Olde Toe-Sucker's job, IMNSHO, is that he is working as part of the very longstanding Soros Master Plan to replace The Mombasa MF with Hillary for the 2012 election.
BTW, in case anyone in this country still believes in the law these days, Then-Senator Obama's actions on behalf of the Communist who Massacred Christians, is a direct violation of the Hatch Act, which forbids the interference in foreign politics by elected American representatives.
The Right Wing Talk Yakkers who constantly feature The Dick Morris on their broadcasts have their hairdos where the sun doesn't shine. Foxtrot Uniform to all of those half-baked ex-disc jockeys and failed attorneys.

I don’t think judging who won a debate is supposed to be based on crowd reaction. If I’m giving my opinion on who won a debate, it’s going to be my opinion on who made the most cogent points and gave the best performance. If you want someone to average out the opinion of all the audience members, that’s a different question.
Newt will save America. Only Ben Franklin and the guy who played Samantha’s father on Bewitched are smarter.
There’s a reason Rick Sanitarium lost big time to keep his senate seat here in Pennsylvania. Even the top Republican politicians in the state hate the dude.
I doubt he could carry Pennsylvania in the primary as people here know him. He better get out prior to PA as it will really embarrass him.
I agree with many of the values he projects, but what you here him say is not who he is behind the closed doors.

And down went all the female talking heads who said Gingrich couldn’t win the female vote. I’m a woman, I wish he’d had only one wife, but I’m not going to let it dilute the fact that I think he will kick some major a$$ and that’s what I want. Sarah wanted to kick a$$, but McCain wanted to play “nice.” In other words, he didn’t have the fire in the belly. I believe Gingrich has the fire in the belly.
Your opinion of Rick doesn’t surprise me. He showed himself to be a nasty little weasel on Thursday night, with all his grimaces and eyerolling one would think he was a 16yr old boy busted for cheating on a history test. He may indeed project some conservative values, but what I saw most of him that night was a poor loser who wanted some attention, and was going to make damn sure he got it.
All male political pundits are ugly. If they weren’t, they’d be candidates themselves.
In contrast, attractive women clearly have an advantage over less attractive women in being given a TV punditry spot.
What I’m beginning to realize is that many of those in the print, television, and radio media who I considered to be conservative have shown their hand. They’re NOT on our side. They’re not “strict constructionist” conservatives. The true conservatives appear to me to be mostly bloggers on the internet and those of us average citizens who keep informed on sites like FreeRepublic.
Disk Moris was of FAF this morning his eyes were blood shot, he looks ill, I don’t care for the man but he should see his doctor monday morning, he dose not look well.
Oh, I guess on a “logical” front, you are right on who wins a debate. If this were the Harvard debate squad vs Yale (in a drab room full of checker-pants professors) then the tit-for-tat logical arguments have merit. But in the “jungle” of national politics the slightest spark or well-timed quip changes the perspective/momentum.
Yes, Santorum had a good debate, perhaps his finest, but even a good debate performance can be overshadowed by uncontrollable events. Who are they talking about amongst the political masses? Newt’s comments or Santorum’s good night? Who has got the buzz?
See what I mean. Sucks, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
If Willard the liberal is able to buy the nomination, he has one person to thank and his name is Mr. Whiner Santorum.
Mr. Whiner has no chance all at the GOP nomination. Does not this arrogant self-right whiner know that the longer he stays in the easier Willard the liberal has it. If he’s such the good friend of Newt Gingrich, why in the hell don’t he get out of the way and let this be the two man race that it already is. The liberal against the conservative and the conservative with the only chance to win the nomination is Newt Gingrich.
