Her boyfriend is a Democratic senate staffer. I can’t believe that nobody has named the staffer or the senator. I just want to know, why the big secret?
He triggered the scanner in the airport, and there was an anomaly; and he refused a pat down, so he was detained. He then said something along the lines of he thinks this is proof the TSA “spends too much time harrassing those who do not want to harm us.”
Well, dipstick, how the heck are they supposed to know that? Take your word for it? If he triggered the scanner or an anomaly was detected, then do the pat down.
Just another act to get bolster his father’s campaign and it’s disgusting.
And during the debates between the two Republican candidates here in 2010 (he and the other candidate); he really let his Libertarian flag fly; but since only me, my husband and a handful of Paulbots bothered to attend, and these debates were hosted by a Paulbot radio show host, it was pretty much kept quiet.

Here’s why I think it’s a campaign stunt: The news that he was detained due to a refusal of a pat down was leaked first by his father on Twitter. His staff didn’t give out that information until after the head Ronulian posted the details. Strange that his staff would know he was detained but not why, however Duddy Dearest knew all the specifics and tweeted them before any news outlet got them.
Hell, maybe they watched his old man debate.

Yep - saw a compiliation “smear the Newt” ad during the ball game last night. Mittens and the establishment GOP have their knckers in knots and are getting ready for a scorched earth campaign. IMO, it may not be the worst that can happen - it might very well cause an uprise against the Establishment and help them see the light... It will definitely harden hearts against Mittens as he proves he’s too stupid to see (or care) what Newt understood from the beginning about this tactic.

First of all, flying is a choice and a matter of convenience. No one is forced to fly anywhere at any given point or time, unless they are being extradited, and those situations are rare.
Secondly, the only reason he was being patted down was because the scanner, which he apparently has NO objection to, detected an anomaly. So how should we deal with these situations? If the point of the scanner is to detect anomalies, that lead to further investigation, and he has no objection to the scanner, what is the purpose of this other than a pathetic campaign stunt?
