By rejecting the Keystone XL oil pipeline, President Obama did more than just pander to environmentalists. He shredded attempts by his handlers to cast him as a pragmatic and reasonable man who can appeal to independent voters.
Instead, he stands naked as an ideologue willing to sacrifice workers on the altar of special-interest politics.
Thousands of jobs were cast aside with no more thought than yesterday’s socks. Demolished, too, is the promised commitment to energy independence.
The $7 billion pipeline would carry Canadian oil to Gulf Coast ports. Despite three years of study by the State Department, Obama tried to put off the decision until after the election.
But Canada offered to change the route to avoid an aquifer in Nebraska, and unions demanded to know whether he would approve a permit, so Republicans put a 60-day deadline in December’s payroll-tax legislation.
Now we have undeniable proof of the president’s priorities. The man who insisted that “making sure jobs are available is the first thing I think about when I wake up every morning” was just reading empty words from a TelePrompter.

Rush had a caller yesterday who said the pipeline decision decided him against voting for Obama this year even though he’s a lifetime Democrat and voted for him in 08. He’s a truck driver and he’s black.

Only the colossal self confidence of someone like Newt Gingrich could laugh off Obama’s continual fountain of B.S. It would wear any ordinary mortal down. And so Newt has a checkered record? All he has to do is ask Obama whether he has a record at all!
NOW let’s see what the unions do with the money. If they continue to support him, it will prove that they care less about the membership than 0bambi does.
And for anyone not yet decided, the $5 gas this spring and summer will clarify things even more.

I’d like to thank in advance those with enough tolerance and gumption to watch the ultimate loser (aka, nobama) this evening. Only through reading the thread on FR can I stomach this grifter-president and his bilge.
Unfortunately we still have far too many ignorant souls out there. The only reading they do is the numbers on the gas pump.
All things of OBAMA are yet to be revealed: his real mother and father, his schooling, his financial backers, his preparation for the destruction of America....all of him is really unknown, but it will not be good.
Goodnes, beauty, truth, freedom, allegiance to our flag and republic and to our God are not in Obama's heart.
Cling to your Constitution, your God, and your gun because hard times that will test us, lie ahead.
They'll simply blame the oil companies and setup "windfall profit" committees.
