Drudge, conservative media criticize Newt Gingrich (Drudge pulls an Oprah on his loyal readers...)

Newt Gingrich better hope voters who lapped up his delicious hits on the “elite media” and liberals don’t read the Drudge Report this morning.

Or the National Review. Or the American Spectator. Or Ann Coulter.

If they do, Gingrich comes off looking like a dangerous, anti-Reagan, Clintonian fraud.

It’s as if the conservative media over the past 24 hours decided Gingrich is for real, and they need to come clean about the man they really know before it’s too late.

I reject that. There's just one fighter in the four and it's Newt. To stand any chance of unseating the "historical" Obama, Republicans need a fighter.

Every debate I watch, I check to see how long Newt will talk before he says “Reagan”. (”Hey, 17 seconds this time; that’s restraint!”) It really grates on me to hear him invoke Reagan’s name, as if it belongs to him.

Now I know why, thanks to Drudge.

Regardless, I’m still hoping Santorum can rise above the current front-runners. Even if I thought I could trust Newt (I can’t), there’s just no way he beats the Kenyan in November.

The establishment doesn’t have a great track record in picking candidates and warned primary voters against tapping Sharron Angle in Nevada and Christine O’Donnell in Delaware because they were too radioactive and couldn’t win in the November general elections. The voters didn’t listen, and it cost Republicans the Senate.

1. Who really cares if it cost the GOP control of the Senate? Do you really think they'd be doing anything different than Reid's mob if they were running things?

2. Christine and Sharron are great people BUT neither ever won a race or even seriously competed in one. IIRC, Sharron never even ran a race before.

That really can't be said about Newt, now can it? In fact, I don't believe Newt has ever lost a race.

I want real change, not Bush-itism.

That is because Michael Reagen endorsed him, Nancy praised him and several of the old Reagan crowd have endorsed Newt as well.

Ann supports the Gay republicans. She is not married..has no children and she and Drudge (allegedly gay) and his editor, Brit Hume (had a gay son) want Romney.

It's not that hard to figure out what they have been doing for the last few years to capture and mold the debate and now the nomination.

If the Republican party tries to shove Mitt Romney down my throat I may outright vote Obama just to spite them--in my location it doesn't matter.

That's pretty much where I am too. Hate to say it, but if Romney is ppushed on us, I will NOT vote for him. If that means 4 more years of Bamby, so be it. Furthermore, since the Establishment may be doing this for fear of loosing the House and/or senate, I may just vote straight Democrat. Maybe we need to let the country completely colllapse under total Dem control before the people will finally raise up and do what needs doing to fix it!
