Vanity: How to Shut Up the Class Warrior Hypocrites

I am so sick of the President, Pelousi and the other rich class warriors on the democratic plantation telling us peons they don't pay their fair share. Well nobody is holding a gun to their head to ITEMIZE deductions on the income taxes are they? If a rich "hero" wants to pay his or her "fair share" just take the standard deduction (or no deductions) and send in a big fat check check to Timmy.

No tax laws need to be changed and rich hero like Obama or Pelouse or < insert democrat name here > could take a no "itemized deduction" pledge TODAY!

Tell me is this a good way to get the "pay my fair share" crowd to shut up?

The "pay your fair share" crowd cannot be easily silenced.

They have this belief that FICA is not a tax.

Their belief is manifestly false.

They also forget that the personal income tax was only supposed to tax the rich ~ not ordinary wage earners.

They suffer from class envy ~ they'd like to be poor but with a high income. Then they could drink all the cheap beer and ripple they could get their hands on and not feel guilty.

Why do they take deductions? Wouldn’t a rich liberal eschew deduction and WANT to pay the max, their fair share?

When I hear someone tell me I should pay more tax I reach in my pocket, pull out a wad, and challenge them to take it.

Isn’t it the height of hypocrisy for Obama tell us he wants to pay his fair share and also take ITEMIZED DEDUCTIONS? Am I the only one who sees that?

Regardless of what Pelosi and Obama say...

It's generally the government employee class, the banking insiders, fatcorps and corrupt on Wall Street, after receiving trillions in tax paid bailouts from a government that will not cut costs, to shut up and deal with it.

Telling millions who lost their homes, investments, jobs etc, they don't want to hear about "Class envy".

Government employees and others, retiring in their early 50s, with $75,000 per year in tax paid retirements for life, with top shelf medical benefits, simply don't want to hear it.

Let them eat cake.

BTW, the reason your getting this from Obama and Pelosi types, is for support and votes..They are not stupid and understand, tens of millions in the private sector middle class have been economically gang raped by government and policies they created.

When in reality, it is they who are the big part of the problem mentioned in #6. It's like the arsonist who works for the fire department, teaching fire safety classes.

"Wouldn’t a rich liberal eschew deduction and WANT to pay the max, their fair share?"

Hypocrisy is the sine qua non of liberalism.

The "pay your fair share" crowd cannot be easily silenced. They have this belief that FICA is not a tax. Their belief is manifestly false.

They also don't realize (and don't want to) that their employers (aka the rich) also forcibly match their FICA contributions.

As my wise father (RIP) used to say

“A liberal is someone who wants to give your money to the poor and get credit for doing it”

Which, for the employer is another non-taxed expense ~ the employees would be better off, tax-wise, by demanding the feds have the employers pay 100% of FICA, rather than just part of it.

You've said that several times ~ that government employees all get $75,000 per year retirements when they retire at 50.

Got sources?

They also have to compute the minimum tax and I think when you reach that point you have to do the itemized thing although the standard deduction has a top dollar value on it.

Ask Mitt. I'm sure he knows all the details.

It maybe non taxed for the employer, but thety still have to pay it out of pocket.

The self employed have to cover the full 15.3% (but then write off 7.65% on fed income tax)

It might be "better" for the employee for the employer to pay the whole thing, but I think it would be better for all involved if the employee had to pay the whole thing.

You never appreciate what you get, if SOMEBODY ELSE pays for it.

And thats the exact problem with this country. The wealthy pay the majority of government services, and the middle class and poor complain, that they, the wealthy, don't pay enough, and that government should do more.
