It wasn't a mistake.
I get to Canada often for business and family and am astounded by the just the t-shirts alone that belittle and demean Americans.
His Secret Service detail should have shot her for aiming a “gun” at the Wholly Roaming President’s big head. Who knows whether that finger was loaded or not.

I heard this theme earlier.
They were in Arizona. I bet the Staties/Sheriffs outnumbered the secret service at that location.
Would have been a fine way to start a civil war.
If I were a governor in a conservative state - I would INSTRUCT the civil employees that they are to protect the State - not the DC people. I would also treat every Presidential visit as a potential assault. Iwould say taht I am treating this expectation of violence very seriously.
A lot of Americans have low opinions of Canada as well, based on lack of education. A case in point is the burning of Washington DC in the War of 1812; when I tell them that we burned York first, I get blank looks.
My father’s family is from Quebec; nice place to visit. Calgary’s nice, too.
And that would also be the same Lyndon Johnson who blackmailed Kennedy to get on his ticket.
