Santorum is the Endorser. He has been throwing support if not delegates to Romney with both hands already, no doubt in a bloody quest for a dang job.

By the time this vulture drops out he will have so damaged Newt among his own supporters that by drop time they will naturally move away from Newt and over to Romney.

I am thinking Ron Paul will run Third Party. Unless, perhaps Newt, by then, can be seen leading a broad and sweeping populist movement, enough to impress Paul, and they negotiate some kind of an alliance that benefits Uncle Nutty too. Third Party is a dead ender, but Ron Paul is prepared to cause a RINO crack up with no further delay. And...so am I.

It upsets me that if Florida is “Winner take all” that Santorum didn’t have the Cahones to ask that his voters enter their vote for Gingrich...that does not mean he is quitting, it merely means he would have supported a fellow Conservative, rather than allow his “fans” to waste their vote! Same goes for Michelle Bachmann! For the love of GOD< do these people not read or listen to the news? WHY did they waste their vote on her? (she asked with head tilted to the right, not unlike the old RCA Victor dog)

I remember some other things about his leadership. 4% unemployment, a balanced budget, spending at its lowest levels in my lifetime. An economy in great shape. A GOP Congress that actually got Clinton to govern as the most fiscally conservative President in my lifetime.

I’d give anything to see Boehner display even a hint of such “absentee leadership”. At least Newt wasn’t crying and rolling over for Clinton at every opportunity. Even Stephanopolous admits that Newt was about to win the shutdown before Dole cut him off at the knees and negotiated his own deal with Clinton to end it.

Newt was actually on the verge in late 97/early 98 of getting Clinton to reform social security and medicare through privatization, means testing and block grants before the whole Monica issue took over and ended any hopes of cooperation.

Newt’s voting record is pretty much the same as Dick Cheney’s. Is Cheney a progressive? If you look at Newt and Cheney from 1979-1988 when they were both in the House their voting records are virtually identical.

Newt Gingrich had 4 years executive exp running the most fiscally conservative and economically productive House in recent US history in many respects. He ended welfare as we know it and got Bill Clinton to tell the country “the era of Big Govt is over”.

Romney had 4 yrs running one of the most liberal states in the country and his big achievement was creating a new entitlemnt that served as the model for Obamacare.

Rick Santorum’s #1 issue has always been abortion. Mitt Romney would be the most pro-abortion GOP nominee in history. Romney was pro-abortion after Roe, after Casey, after Stenberg. While Rick Santorum was battling Barbara Boxer on the floor over partial birth abortion Romney was telling Planned Parenthood he agreed with Roe, appointing pro choice judges to the MA courts, setting up $50 copays for abortion under Romneycare, and appointing PP board memebers to the MA state health payment board.

Newt meanwhile has a 99.6 lifetime rating from the NRLC.

For Santorum and his supporters to help Romney given his history on abortion is amazing to me.

Thank you for your comments! You are spot on!

Boener needs to get the hell out of the Speakers seat! he is an alcoholic, hence his propensity for weeping at the drop of a hat at any time during the day or night! I do not honestly know who was worse...Stretch Pelosi and her batting those buggy eyes, and adjusting her dentures like a cow with vineers, or Boehner and his alcoholic flush, weeping and blubbering like a damned fool, when he isnt sharing a round of golf and some beer with the Idiotinchief!

Outstanding post, and well remembered by all !

Deserves repeating:

Considering Georgia:

Gingrich 101
Romney 69

Maybe Romney's promised to pay for that portion of Bella's care not covered by insurance?

Can you beleive it. If Romney wins that will mean that there were two consecutive presidents that were not Christian? Mindboggling!!!!

It’s not over. SOmehow, I have this feeling that something is going to happen to bring Newt to the forefront, as the Iranian crisis did for REagan.

Santorum brings nothing to the table. He dilutes the debate.

The American people must have Newt one on one with Romney.

Chin up. As you said, Georgia has 76 delegates. 26 more than FL. Hope for the future!

I can guarantee you that the conservatives from biggest Red State prize (TX) do not like Romney.

Most of us realize that 99% of used car salesman have more sincerity than him.
