TAMPA, Fla. — Mitt Romney rolled to victory in the Florida primary on Tuesday evening, according to early returns and exit polls, dispatching an insurgent threat from Newt Gingrich and reclaiming his dominant position in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

He does not have a position on Obamacare and you might like to know that it will be repealed by the US Supreme Court within the next 6 months.

Mitt did help with the passage of what they called Romneycare but I believe that is being somewhat challenged as well?

And I was not snowed by Mitt Romney...

Something you need to know is that when you meet him, he speaks the truth.

I’m just not sure ‘When” santorum needs to bow out...but bow out he will need to do... unless Romney promises him a position...then he’ll go along til he’s told to back off.

We are the first primary in the South—as goes Carolina so goes the South and the South is the largest Republican voting bloc in America. Been that way since 1980.

Florida is half Yankee RINO so they don't count as much.

I voted for Santorum but Newt won the state so Newt is getting the nomination.

Anyone notice Mitts sudden command and usage of historical information, such as events and quotes? I think he is trying to emulate Newt.

Reagan wouldn't do that. Reagan was better than that. Reagan would double down and give serious and thoughtful speeches laced with humor on his two major points - turning the economy around and defeating the Soviets.

Newt talks about space colonies and whines about money, ads and anything else that pops into his head. He is not a good messenger for the cause. It will be tough since he isn't on the ballots of a number of states.

Hate to break it to you, but this week one of the Obama camp said the plan is to roll Romneycare out nationwide. Not sure why you think that is okay...

it's not just an election it's good over evil being fought and that out of our sight.

Reach! It's not out of our reach. Don't you watch the rise of Hitler shows and wonder why, oh why, didn't the good citizens of Germany rise to the occasion and dash the future of the beast? Right now, I could drive down and get a Sonic burger, or I could sound off on our currently FRee forum, and I have made that choice.

What happens in the background will happen. What you and I can influence, we will influence. WILL being the operative. Beyond that, we can pray.

By the way, any true conservative would have one hell of a dug in position WRT Obamacare. Romney is NO conservative.

It's pretty much over. Romney has convinced the brain dead idiots who get their political loyalty from the Television, that he is the one. (He who spends the most on flashy ads, wins)

This speaks volumes for what has happened to America. Knowing the number of Hispanic voters now considered the majority, and the fact that Obama is supported by them by over 70%, Conservatives are now a stark minority.

The Independents and Moderates will determine the election again and again. And the MSM will rip Romney to pieces, like they did Newt.

Yes, I watched Hitlers moves...and in fact was just watching his take over of Poland last night....but I do agree we do what we can do ....and pray....I don’t think this is out of our reach at all.

Interesting photo. BTW

Are you new here? Or haven’t been engaged here for months .. or whatever?

Ooh .. I know ... he’s SOOOOO nice ... looks you right in the eye and everything ...

Do you actually naively believe a candidate in the middle of a hot campaign is NOT going to be nice and cordial, to reveal his dark side and past to you, a stranger?

Flip flopper on abortion, friend and collaborator with Teddy Kennedy on socialized healthcare in MA .... etc. etc. etc. .. NO HOW!

Better yet, here’s just one of the MANY statements from the onwer of this site on the subject, which you should’ve seen if you spend much time here ... and he MEANS it! Listen up!

Romney not a threat? Right.

Romney and his supporters are now pushing RomneyCare as a conservative, free market, states rights solution to healthcare.

RomneyCare = ObamaCare in all respects. It is not free market, it is not conservatism and it is not states rights.

Just the opposite. RomneyCare is a top-down, government devised, government approved, government forced, socialist, intrusive, oppressive mandate against the free citizens of a state. It’s no less socialist, no less intrusive, no less oppressive whether forced on the people at the state level or forced on the people at the federal level. It’s the same damn thing!!

RomneyCare = ObamaCare = government force = oppression = socialism = taxpayer funded abortion = death panels = tyranny!!

We are the resistance!!

Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Shove Romney/RomneyCare down our throats now, we shove Romney up your Donkeys in November!!

Rebellion is ON!!

NO ROMNEY, NO WAY!!

Mitt happens!!

O’rly?

Apparently, the filing deadline for Indiana has not passed as of today Mitt Romney’s team was the first to file with 7K names on a petition of the required 45K needed to get on the ballot.

So I guess not “all” of the deadlines have passed.

For the record, Indina is a May primary.

What the hell is wrong with the seniors? Socialized healthcare, Romney-style, socialist-lite, will totally, negatively affect their lives, as well as all others.

Newt stated on Hannity’s show as recently as Monday that he would repeal obomacare. He further listed all that he would do if elected.

I'm a senior and I don't know how others in my age group can be so stupid, so ignorant of the truth. What motivated these seniors who have been told the truth about Romney, and yet vote for HIM?

I believe that any candidate that openly says he will abort ObamaCare will have a very hard time winning the general election.

Honesty does not win elections - - read up on your Machiavelli. Newt has rounded up the angry conservative crowd, confirmed by the anger on this thread. That is not enough to win an election. He has some appeal with the independents, but that is not solid. It still does not give him enough. And Newt has ZERO appeal with the mild Democrats; the non-rabid Democrats that I have talked to respect Romney, but hate Gingrich.

In other words, the reason ‘real’ conservatives are happy with Gingrich is the reason why all Democrats and many independents hate him. Democrats will be inspired to vote against Newt, but not against Romney (IMHO).

To win, the Republican must focus on the economy and the debt. That’s the winner.

I heard today that the GOP only gave Florida 50 delegates because they wanted to primary so early this year. Usually they have 100. So this loss is not insurmountable.

And yet, if you were to gauge by Romney's speech tonight, you would have thought he just won King of the World.

Is Florida an open primary State? (In other words, did Mitt Hussein Romney really win a GOP primary? Or did he merely win the most Democrat cross-overs?)

This was fully expected - there are many New York retirees living in Florida, all of them Jewish Mormons.
