Yes, have to agree with others. Your response shows no consideration of others or their beliefs in Conservative government.

It’s okay to be for a candidate, but you really should not be so negative toward other opinions. This is a Conservative site and Santorum is one - Romney is questionable. That is your choice - please don’t make fun of others choices.

Santorum is not above the fray at all - like you said.

You could say he is
A: Part of the fray: He is attacking Newt with ads.
B: Below the fray: no one takes him seriously enough to attack him.
C: off to the side of the fray, because no one is shooting at him.

But above it? Laughable.
If he ever becomes the target of the fray, he will be at like zero per cent in no time. He has BIG LIBERAL STINKIES in his past.

Because vulgarity is sometimes useful for conveying ideas and sentiments concisely.

Actually, that is not true. Newt’s lifetime ACU rating is 90. Santorum’s is 88.1.

I agree. If he is targeted, Santorum will drop like a rock.

Hey! He was “off” looking after a 3 year old daughter who came down with pneumonia on top of an already terminal condition!!!

...And Santorum is telegenic, has mid-western roots, is Catholic, and could haul in Reagan Democrats. Besides, as favorite son, he will carry PA.

Perhaps that's what McRombama is thinking...with Rick as his VP pick.

Just as he's always been. Amazing to me that people have been putting so much lipstick on this turd, trying to dress him up as something he isn't

Why call names? I get that you don't like him, I can't stand Romney, but what's with the personal attacks and name-calling?

It simply comes across as vile and you will not attract anyone to your point of view with it unless they were as filled with self-righteous certitude like you seem to be, which puts everybody in a bad mood, dude!!!

Ricky "SOPA" Santorum is no conservative—he's a collectivist big government statist. If you're down with this sort of thing, then by all means have at it. But it isn't for me:
"This whole idea of personal autonomy, well I don’t think most conservatives hold that point of view. Some do. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. You know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone." [source]

"What was my vision? I came to the uncomfortable realization that conservatives were not only reluctant to spend government dollars on the poor, they hadn’t even thought much about what might work better. I often describe my conservative colleagues during this time as simply ‘cheap liberals.’ My own economically modest personal background and my faith had taught me to care for those who are less fortunate, but I too had not yet given much thought to the proper role of government in this mission." –Rick Santorum, p. IX It Takes a Family: Conservatism and the Common Good (2005)

"I suspect some will dismiss my ideas as just an extended version of ‘compassionate conservatism.’ Some will reject what I have said as a kind of ‘Big Government Conservatism.’ Some will say that what I’ve tried to argue isn’t conservatism at all. But I believe what I’ve been presenting is the genuine conservatism our Founders envisioned. One that fosters the opportunity for all Americans to live as we are called to live, in selfless families that contribute to the general welfare, the common good." –Rick Santorum, p. 421 It Takes a Family: Conservatism and the Common Good (2005)

"If you're a conservative, there really is only one place to go right now. I would even argue farther than that. If you're a Republican, if you're a Republican in the broadest sense, there is only one place to go right now and that's Mitt Romney." –Rick Santorum, 02/1/2008 [source]
Check out his brochure, 50 Things You Didn't Know About Rick Santorum, where he proudly defends food stamps, increasing minimum wage, stem cell harvesting, bloated school funding, etc.

Also see his disturbing voting record for more.

He has BIG LIBERAL STINKIES in his past.

You mean like supporting an individual mandate by the feds at the point of a gun to purchase a product you do not want? You're right, that stinks to high hell.

The former Pennsylvania senator is taking a pause from Florida campaigning just days before the Tuesday primary that even he expects to deal him a third consecutive loss.

Santorum says he would rather spend his Saturday sitting at his kitchen table DOING HIS TAXES than campaigning in a state where the race for the Republican presidential nomination has become a two-man fight between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

Santorum heads home to do taxes

yep... but maybe he can go for the left wing moderate vote too by having his daddy Arlen campaign for him.. after all he swore on his Conservative credentials that we could trust Arlen Specter to vote the right way in the senate.. and that promise got us Obamacare.. let’s all remember that everytime lil Ricky brings up the healthcare mandate and nobody slams him right back into his place
