Climate change sceptics have acquired a new explanation for why glaciers are retreating: it's not global warming, it's theft.

Police in Chile have arrested a man on suspicion of stealing five tonnes of ice from the Jorge Montt glacier in the Patagonia region to sell as designer ice cubes in bars and restaurants.

Where is it a crime collect rain water? I know Oregon and some of the Western states have tried to do this but not as standing, enforceable law.

They put the evidence in the locker but someone stole it, leaving a small puddle behind as the only trace.

It was in Cochabamba, Colombia. At least that was the claim of the people that protested until Bechtel lost the water privatization contract.

Lawsuits ensued. But there was not enough water in which to drown a sufficient number of lawyers.

Time was people were cat burglars, casing homes of the wealthy to steal their prized jewels. Art thieves would case a museum and spring into action under the cover of night. Train robbers would plan elaborate heists and getaways.

Now people steal your house wiring, high school band tubas, and glacial ice.

If everyone took $5,000,000,000,000 from the national wealth like Barack Obama, there wouldn’t be anything left...
