Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day OConnor apparently got in a real zinger at last weekends Alfalfa Club dinner:
Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day OConnor made a joke about the GOP candidates Saturday that reportedly drew much laughter. At the black-tie steak-and-lobster Alfalfa Club dinner Saturday among political and business elites in Washington, she said that of two GOP presidential candidates, one is a practicing polygamist, and hes not even the Mormon, according to an Associated Press report.
The remark appeared to be a comparison between Romneys Mormon faith (which no longer allows polygamy) and thrice-married Newt Gingrich. The dinner is closed to the press.

Brilliantly stated, Mr. Levin. :-)
When I was in law school in the mid-1990s, I thought it would be a great idea to write a law journal article on my revelation that stare decisis, when applied by the Supreme Court (as opposed to by the “inferior tribunals” bound to follow precedents from higher courts), was unconstitutional, but my Con Law professor pointed me to an article written by Professor McConnell I believe it was that said the same thing (but which I hadn’t even heard of before), so that was that. I don’t know when Levin reached the same conclusion as McConnell and I.
you’re in distinguished company
Thanks.
