San Francisco Chronicle ^ | February 5 2012 | Katie Dowd

If you’ve learned anything from Super Bowl XLVI so far, it’s that driving a Ford will get you killed when the apocalypse comes.

Unsurprisingly, this spot from Chevy is already generating the most controversy. In it, a man drives through a post-apocalyptic landscape and finds the only survivors are fellow Chevy drivers. Their friend, sadly, drove a Ford and is dead.

Was Obama elected or voted out of office?

Did Soetoro survive the Apocalypse?

Ford should run an ad pointing the finger at GM and their Kenyan Commie enabler who committed theft and fraud on an historically unprecendented scale.

A crime that calls into question the FUNDAMENTAL integrity of our securities markets.

Good grief - it was funny for crying out loud, and I’m a Ford guy.

Note to self - add twinkies to survival cache

Actually, every Ford owner needs to make that video and upload it to YouTube and Facebook.

Yeah, that was my reaction, too. The end of the world and it’s five guys and no women.

Ubama is sending a superliminal message to people who don't buy government motors' vehicles.

Their aim is seriously misdirected. They are getting the stuffing beaten out of them by Asian brands. I drove American metal for as long as possible. Now I have two KIA's, a Sedona van and a Rio sedan. They beat the hell out of anything I've ever gotten from Detroit. I'd rather buy an American marque, but Detroit will not produce what we need without being dragged and pulled into submission.

What they didn’t show in the ad was that the apocalypse was brought about by a Volt exploding near a nuclear power plant.

My first thought when the commercial began with scenes of a city in ruins was that it was going to be a statement on Obama’s America.

That was my favorite one! I loved the Twinkies!

Twinkies are the only forever food.

It is sad we paid all that money for those commercials..

Yep. I was pretty much Debbie Downer during the SB commercials. After (just about) each one, I'd say...."Hmmmph...Socialism", or "Government Enterprise", etc. :(

Ford should do a prequel ad showing the fiery apocolypse starting in a garage containing a Chevy Volt.

Regardless of the bailout, it was a good ad. Twinkies? Perfect.

What is realy funny is that you never see Chevy trucks off-road way in the boondocks. They are either Ford or Toyota 4X4s. Chevy trucks are junk on rugged trails.

Right now I have a Saturn Ion, a Toyota T-100 and a Dodge Neon beater. I’ll go you even one better. If I can help it, I will never again buy a vehicle that was made by union pukes and certainly not a GM.

It must be that the harpie Debbie-Wasserman-Schultz is the new marketing director of Government Motors, so that she can direct her venomous spittle onto the fender of the competition.

..............The box of Twinkies in perfect condition was a nice touch..................

Yeah, since both GM and the maker of Twinkies both went bankrupt!
