Roland Martin’s Tweet About David Beckham Ad Angers GLAAD

Roland Martin’s call to attack men that liked a David Beckham ad has prompted the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to demand that CNN fire the commentator. It all started with a tweet Martin sent after Beckham’s commercial aired during the Super Bowl : “If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad, smack the ish out of him!”

In recent years, there has been an effort to equate the current homosexual rights movement with the black civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s. Blacks universally resent being compared to perverts, but the analogy fails for two principal reasons: 1) The homosexual movement can’t find a reverend named Martin Luther Queen, and 2) unlike blacks, homosexuals generally have to invent their own victimization stories so they will have some “social ill” to eradicate. Of course, such stories are never a manifestation of the illnesses of “society.” They are simply evidence of widespread mental illness in the LGBT “civil rights” movement.

Why would I want to do that and give them hits?

I am not interested in giving them hits. The point is to show that normal people have opinions too.

“It’s hilarious when idiots…see my Beckham tweet as homophobic and I rip on soccer all of the time." [Martin said]

Ah, but Roland is going to learn that what he meant doesn't matter. All that matters is that the grievance industry needs its fix of being outraged and Roland is a convenient target. And by the way, Roland (who is black) should realize that blacks created this Frankenstein. Remember all the outrage and forced apologies over use of words like "niggardly" and "Black Hole"?? As ye sow, so shall ye reap.

the best homosexuals ever do is half truths and stories about being shunned by family after they come out with their fetish.

If the guest in question ever was that “fruity” about an male underwear ad, it would be the last time they would be invited to a game.

And what does the racist Roland Martin have to say about Michael Jordan’s Fruit of the Loom underwear ads?

That was one of the few commercials I commented on. It was disgusting how much ink was on that guy. It was playing to the gays or why would they show it? Hated the commerical as a whole.

This is exactly why Roland should be supported.

About the ads last night ...

I thought it was interesting that so many different advertisers used classical music as part of their commercial(s).

The ads didn't work for me even though I watched most of them and even found some mildly amusing. But now what was being advertised is almost completely lost on me except for two companies, Coke and GoDaddy, which both utilized previously existing themes which I recognized.

I suppose I also noticed the GM and Chrysler commercials because their mere existence aggravated me, knowing some of my own money had gone to pay for them.

There is nothing I support Roland Martin on.

I stand by my comment, Martin would not have said anything if the ad was Fruit of a Loom & Michael Jordan.

I just love when a liberal gets gored with his own politcally correct ox.

Then again, looking at Roland’s rotund body, perhaps he’s a little jealous of Mr. Beckham.

My only question about the commercial is why would any company spend 3.5 million dollars on a commercial showing a sports star no one cares about? Soccer in the U.S. has as much appeal as the professional poker tour and full contact martial arts. They could have done just as well showing a sports “star” from one of these sports in their underwear commercial.

Well... Somewhat to Mr. Martin’s comment - how many straight guys watching that show were inspired to run out to an H&M?

Guess the target market was metrosexuals and gays, not sure that splinter of the market was worth H&M’s money. Barry Obama probably loved the ad.

Roland Martin is just expressing the common black dislike of homosexuality. Blacks are very anti-gay on average, even the so-called ones.
