Rick Santorum could be headed for a big day in today's contests in Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri. Missouri looks like a probable win for Santorum. He's at 45% there to 32% for Mitt Romney and 19% for Paul. Minnesota provides an opportunity for a win as well. Currently he has a small advantage with 33% to 24% for Romney, 22% for Newt Gingrich, and 20% for Ron Paul. And Santorum should get a second place finish in Colorado, where Romney appears to be the likely winner. The standings there are Romney at 37%, Santorum at 27%, Gingrich at 21%, and Paul at 13%.

I would, if Santorum had any substance worth getting behind. Conservatives have been totally clueless this election cycle. They keep going to whatever loser they can find.
Cain was THE candidate, but we screwed it up. Newt is THE candidate, and people are going to Romney, a lying empty suit, or Santorum, another lying empty suit.

Maybe someone ought to compare what they said and what they did side by side. Just one off handed statement won’t justify it.
Needless to say, Obama is the biggest lying, empty suit out there but that goes without saying.

You’re all missing the point. All of the GOP candidates are working secretly for Obama, divide and conquer, and they all should quit. Then we won’t have any flawed candidates who can’t win.
Seriously? Whose spoiling it for whom. Now I like Newt, but he's hardly our most consistent or reliable conservative. Also, we conservatives to like to say that character counts, and that you can't segregate how we live our personal lives from our ability to lead with credibility. Now I believe Newt when he says that his past was in the past, but we need to give Rick credit for actually having lived his values. Also, although I am very pleased that Newt has converted to Catholicism, and appears to be embracing it, I have read his utterances on theology and faith - they are not strictly orthodox or consistent - and so far I'm not totally convinced that he gets it.
I was a strong Cain supporter, like many here; however, I think Cain has to bear the responsibility for dropping out of the campaign. A person who quits under the circumstances he did is either guilty of the charges or lacks sufficient strength of character to be leader of the free world.

Lil’ Ricky gets his “Big Boy” pants today!
Sure he, like most all the Republican lawmakers, let Bush43 push him around on some Big Government issues but he never compromised his conservative principles by schmoozing on a love seat with Nancy Pelosi or by promoting underage girls get abortions WITHOUT the parents’ permission.
I voted Rick here in South Carolina and we ALWAYS pick the winner of the GOP nomination.

I sent him some money before the SC primary ... but will he stick with it long enough for me to vote for him? *sigh*
I just shake my head at those still supporting Newt, the Brett Favre of the GOP. Newt’s been throwing interceptions for weeks now. It’s time for HIM to drop out.
