American kids denied food stamps in Alabama under immigration law

Some U.S.-born children with parents who are illegal immigrants have been denied food stamps under Alabama's new immigration law, Southern Poverty Law Center President Richard Cohen told Yahoo News on Monday.
Five people have called into the group's Alabama hotline to say they were denied food stamps because they couldn't prove they were legal residents, even though the food stamps are for their children, who are citizens.
Cohen says the civil rights group, which has already filed two lawsuits against Alabama over the law, will most likely bring another suit over the denied food stamps.
The law makes it a felony for a government employee to engage in "business transactions" with illegal immigrants, which some government employees have interpreted very broadly. Illegal immigrants have been told they can't pay their utility bills or even their taxes because it would count as a "transaction" with the government, according to Cohen.

Try that argument by going to Mexico and applying for food stamps. Make sure you report back to us.
And a cooking class. And a reminder that vegetable seeds and plants can be purchased using the card. My case worker informed me of that because when I applied for food stamps the only income I was bringing in was from jams, jellies, and other canned products I made.
It was basically harder to stop the benefit than it was to get it to begin with. At my last interview the amount was rolled way back, but they insisted I was entitled to them I should use them. I insisted I could now feed my family without help. when I got the next quarter's paperwork, I filled it all out and sent it in, accompanied by the cut in half card, which I had just completely stopped using - even though I knew there was well over $700 in accumulated benefits on it. I was never comfortable using it to begin with, it was really creepy them insisting I keep using it even when I was perfectly capable of fending for myself. At no time did ever "need" as much as they were allotting me each month.

“Kids” are not eligible to apply for food stamps. It is the responsibility of legal parents, having exhausted all legal means to generate legal income to furnish the money for the “kids” needs, to apply for the benefit PAID FOR BY CITIZEN TAXPAYER!
Cry me a Rio..... Deport them and their parents...if they want to come back when they are 18, then we’ll deal with it.
Deport the parents and make the kids wards of the State. Start doing this and the illegals will self-deport and no longer have kids here.

A former Marysville resident has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay back $3 million in fraudulently obtained unemployment compensation.

A family of four can have an income of $30,000 a year and still qualify for food stamps----with just one identity. A single mother, with two children who has a full time job that pays $7.25 an hour has an effective income of $48,000 a year when you add all the benefits she and her children receive from the government: food stamps, Medicaid coverage, subsidized child care, school lunch program, “Temporary” Assistance to Needy Families, subsidized housing, Earned Income Tax Credit, etc......with just one identity.

In 2005, the pay outs totaled $924 million. This program allows low income earners to claim a $1,000 per child credit.
EITC claims---can run up to over $3000 per claim. $20 billion is estimated to have been paid out to these cunning "impoverished" illegals. Most of them are collecting over and over again-----using multiple identities-----falsifying apps---claiming children they do not have and/or falsely stating kids are back in their homelands.

The issue is not that clear whether illegals can get TANF funds or not, seems to depend on many things- this link is worth reading. I know illegals in theory are not eligible for a lot of things but in practice they seem to be able to get assistance through one loophole or another and the main loophole is if they have citizen children that is often used to hand over the money or other benefits. Illegals and those that run the hand out system know and use all available loopholes to be able to give/use every form of assistance. The taxpaying citizens are kept in the dark as much as possible about how much of their money is going to support illegals, it has to be an astonishing number if truth be told.
