Has FOX News 'Jumped The Shark' Over Mitt???
VANITY | February 8, 2012

FOX News may have 'jumped the shark' over mittens

Fair and balanced is Juan McCain

I for one have had enough of the ‘wisdom’ of Bill Cristal, Chas. Krauthammer, Ted Baxter, Bret Beahr, Toyko Rove, Ann Colter, Chris Wallace, Sean Wannabe, Dana Parino, Brit Hume, Shep Smith, Judge Jeanene, Alam Comes, Bob Beckle, Juan Williams, Whoraldo, et. al. all acting the part of the Romney cheerleading squad ?

Does anyone else 'feel my pain'?

I generally stopped watching about 3 years ago. It’s just amateur hour over there. The way they handle real news is appallingly tabloid-ish and superficial. If I want real news I tune to CNN-hate to say it- but they are hands down the more professional and polished outfit. I expect to get a left leaning bias and am sometimes surprised when I don’t. If there’s an emergency or a breaking story that I care about I will always turn to CNN first.

I definitely disagree with you is Sean Hannity listening and watching he seems to be very fair

To hell with Hannity. He has hardly ever, if not ever, brought up the Kenyan-born interloper's b'certificate, which would have been a big help 3 years ago.

(Same with Rush, Levin, Coulter, Etc.) that were incredibly silent on this asshat's being unqualified to live in our White House. May they all go to Hell.

Stossel is good but in all seriousness, the only one I've found worth listening to on Fox cable is Judge Nepalitano. All the rest on Fox are just more of the same robotic establishment MSM.

If I wanna hear Karl Rove's pith about Mitt, I'll go to the local grocery store. Of course, I don't have to buy what he's selling there either.

Fox is the only media outlet on Holder’s F&F and the Catholic healthcare mandate.

I could not have stated it any better!

That’s easy! He’s the one with his arm around Ted Knight!

Now you've done it - you've insulted the democrat in the picture

I don’t watch any more, but from what I read here, Fox may be 80% editorially with conservatives, but the commentary in the past month or two has been 99-100% pro-Mitt. It’s the current commentary that has raised conservatives’ hackles.

"Dana Perinno and Karl Rove especially irk me."

Those two use the exact same phrasing far too often for it to be coincidence.

[Fox is the only major outlet that will air anything even slightly negative about Obama, or anything that supports conservatism.]

I agree. I am conservative and I figure I have a brain and can read all over the internet and make my own decisions. It’s best to see other viewpoints and know what you’re fighting. I watch Fox every day and I go to Drudge for headlines too. Listening to newspeople praise Romney has no effect on me because I know he’s not praiseworthy. What’s worse is tearing down your own conservative candidates.

If I wanted ‘group think’ I’d join a cult.

Feeling abused?

For me, the abuse was 25 minutes per hour of mortgage commercials telling me that ‘interest rates have changed’ interspersed with 30 minutes per hour of coverage of Gary Condit, with maybe 5 min per hour of celebrities behaving badly. It must have been some running joke amongst the writers to see what would be tolerated. All was delivered serially, with no opportunity to skip ahead or back.

After each segment I’d hold out hope they would have actual genuine news to report or at least an interesting somewhat thought through viewpoint. It never came and the abuse continued relentlessly.

Eventually I had to walk away and spend almost all of my news time with my lovely mistress - Free Republic. I think I’ll hit the fundraiser later this week so she can go buy some nice bandwidth or something.

What, you’re just now coming around to the fact that you’ll not get good, conservative, coverage from TV? Face it, it’s a fact. Has been for decades. Fox’s pledge of “Fair and Balanced” is a ploy and nothing more. Those in the media who don’t completely Kowtow to the administration are still a part of the establishment. If they provide coverage to anti-administration news it will still be within establishment standards.

There’s only one true news source and you’re on it.

Um....yeah. Just a bit. The night that Gingrich held his press conference, the “panel” unanimously said how BAD the press conference was. It was probably one of the last times I will watch any news outlet for actual news for this election season.

that's small solace when their face has been taken over by RINOs and party elite ... and they're not all that tough on Obama

Did you see the Ted Baxter and Bret Baher interviews?

Fox is like Charles Krauthammer ... by always appearing amongst liberals you get to claim to be conservative only by virtue of comparison

Despite their best efforts, their guy lost three states in a row last night and one which he carried in 2008 with 60 percent of the vote. The 42 point lead he had in CO translated in to a 5 point loss. If you’re that sick of Fox News, turn the TV off and find some other news alternative out there. I gave up on Fox News a long time ago and I haven’t looked back. The experience is liberating. Fox News dumbs down the news in general. They make Russia Today (RT) seem credible by comparison.

I would have excluded Dana Perino from the list, but that's just me.

Again, keep in mind these people are entertainers.
They shouldn't be seen by viewers to be setting an agenda for one’s personal beliefs.

CNN has better coverage most of the time anyway. We all know they are biased; so you just have to ignore part of what they say.

Or better yet, just don't watch television at all. FR has much better information than any television network.
