Is America Still An Exceptional Nation? Only if it chooses to be. But, it's rather difficult to term itself "exceptional" with 45 million+ on food stamps, 63 million+ -- and counting -- on some form of government assistance, and an increasing tendency to vote for more.

“with 45 million+ on food stamps”

Correction: ...with 45 million+ on food stamps and free cell phones and cell phone service...(earning extra minutes if you refer another food stamp receiver)...

All I saw was Ron Paul waving his hands over and over and a 404 error message. Did someone mess with the website?

Can’t imagine Rubio being on the ticket with Willard the liberal. What does Rubio have in common with a Mass. liberal who believes in abortion and homo “marriage”???
And how could a devoted Catholic, if he calls himself devoted, team up with a man who belongs to a cult that mocks Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible? Inquiring minds want know.

Marco Rubio really should be the guy we run for President. He would wipe the floor with Obama.
What a magnificent speech.

Viva Marco! Senator Rubio hit out of the park. His words ring true...no teleprompter...he has “it” in spades. I can feel the power and truthfulness of his words, his strong familial loyalty, his love for America...he projects authenticity. He projects the positive traits of leadership. He is a winner. I have high hopes.

I read recently on FR that Marco Rubio could be neither vice-president nor president because, though he was born in America, his parents did not become citizens until well after his birth.
According to your constitution, does this render him not eligible to become president? This should be made clear, if true, as he is the first choice for vp pick.
To: JudyinCanada
The "birthers" will make that argument, but the fact is that he was born in America and jus soli (birthright citizenship) has always been the origin of citizenship under common law which is the basis of our American justice system.
Many here will argue for jus sanguinis, but I believe that issue has been put to rest. Some may attempt to raise it against Rubio, but it won't work any better against him than it has against Obama.
For all intents and purposes, if you are born on American soil, you are a "natural born citizen."

Check early in the video, despite his zinging of Obama, he has a teleprompter.
To: Sudetenland
Birthright citizenship isn’t the issue with the question as to whether he is a “natural born citizen”.
