weather != climate, but this sure is a riot, in my not so humble opinion, as the neo-luddites always pounce on any stretch of warm weather.

"How tragic for algore and the rest of his posse..."
Far more tragic for the people of Europe. Most of their farmland is north of the worst weather and if things stay this bad or worse for a couple of decades they will starve.
Many countries east of the old dividing line...even south to Romania and Ukraine...are still very poor. Hell, even east to the Czech Republic and Hungary. The Balkans.
If we really are in a cyclical mini ice age, the human cost will be enormous.
The only saving grace is that most of these folks are from good Celt, Slav, Goth, and Saxon stock. That's about 20% Neanderthal.
They will survive. Even if they have to eat their dogs.

when things started cooling off they changed it to "Climate Change" - which allows them to say that ANY change in the weather is a result of made-made CO2 emissions.
Thanks for saying that... after all we all got the memo reminding everyone (once again) that there is a memo on that very subject.. re: "Change of Terminology".

Okay, here it one for that picture; “Extreme cold brings out in the snow the women with some the largest thighs and rear-ends ever photographed. “

We often forget that the very most southern tip of Europe is right around the latitude of St. Louis Missouri. When the jet stream occasionally goes against them they get what Canada gets in a normal winter.

That's about 20% Neanderthal.
For literary reasons that might be okay, but realism says Neanderthals did not exchange genes with the other cohabitants of earth... at least not those that survived and developed further.

It is not their crops that are gonna kill them,it is the price of fuel to keep going under such weather.A tragic reminder that when winter sets in,in Europe,it sets in hard.
To: JSteff
Dude.
Time to update.
4% of the entire human genome and much higher concentrations in Europe/USA Whites.
20% is a reasonable estimate.

Still a helluva cold spell.
This in countries that grow oranges and olives. It's like 10 deg below in Sacramento, CA.

I wonder how well the Muslims are holding up in the cold. Not too well apparently....
Last year some snow fell on Bedouin Arabs in Saudi Arabia....and they don't have a name for snow in their local dialect.
In other news the crazy Islamics in summer time Baghdad stopped delivery of ice blocks "because Mohammad didn't have any ice" in his day.

I don’t believe it. I’ve watched this Neanderthal thing build for years. I think it’s purely political. One word - “Anthropology”.
