You would be forgiven for thinking these stunning vistas lay deep in the heart of Antarctica.

But they are, in fact, what has become of the European landscape as temperatures plummet to nearly -40C - the coldest snap in decades.

Rivers, lakes, beaches and even seas have been iced over by a Siberian freeze, creating some incredible sights, but also more tales of tragedy.

But in southern Kosovo, nine people were killed when an avalanche hit the village of Restelica, officials said on Sunday, adding to more than 500 killed in snow and bitter cold across the Continent in the past two weeks.

In Poland, the interior ministry said 20 people had died in the past 24 hours because of the freezing weather, bringing the toll there so far this year to at least 100.

I guess you didn't get the memo. when things started cooling off they changed it to "Climate Change" - which allows them to say that ANY change in the weather is a result of made-made CO2 emissions.

If I remember High School geography right, which is unlikely, from Bucharest to Madrid is about 2800 miles.

I guess you “didn’t get the memo” that that is a bunch of the deepest horseradish.

The warmest alarmists can try to spin all they please, but the entire pitch revolving around “CO2 is evil” is about warming. If the Earth is cooling, that is absolutely a signal that CO2 is not NEARLY the problem it was portrayed to be.

Myself, I’m figuring on at least 40 years of cooling from here, based on the solar cycles. How tragic for algore and the rest of his posse...

Globule warming is so passé. The phrase is now “climate change”. This covers it all. If the temperature goes higher then normal ... climate change. Temperatures go below normal ... climate change. Temperature deviates beyond the norm ... climate change.

Climate change phrased correctly in the best “screaming” headlines is a moneymaker.

We're pretty lucky. Leftists could have said that carbon emissions cause global cooling. But they flipped a coin and chose poorly.
