Remember when George Stephanopoulos, at the New Hampshire Republican debate on January 7, brought up and harped on whether the candidates thought states could ban contraception?
Everyone, at least on our side of the aisle, shook their heads in disbelief as to why Stephanopoulos was bringing up the issue. There was no active controversy over contraception, it wasnt in the news, and there were far more pressing political issues, yet what seemed like an eternity of debate time was devoted to the subject at the insistence of Stephanopoulos.
It was, shall we say, something out of left field.
When Romney said, its working just fine, leave it alone, everyone laughed.
Newts comeback was prophetic in hindsight:
Well what do you know, about a month later the Obama administration proposes administrative rules under Obamacare which would require free contraception be provided even by religious institutions which oppose contraception on religious grounds.
Its almost as if Stephanopoulos got the memo first. Unless, of course, you believe in coincidences.

I knew what was gonna happen the moment Steppy asked Mitt, I knew exactly where they were going with it
I have wondered if they were buddies at Columbia University. I understand they graduated a year apart with the same or similar degree which means they had had same classes, maybe under Pivens, had a beer or two together off campus, etc.
That’s possible, assuming Baraq was actually at Columbia.
The left plays chess while we are trying to learn checkers.
Just like Chavez in Venezuela. Dictator thugs know that they have to control what the media is saying.
Free information without careful mind control is dangerous to a dictator.
At the time, I thought it was because Stephy was trying to make Santorum look foolish and wanted to use Mr. Frontrunner to do his dirty work. He was hoping that Romney would play along, but amazingly he either didn’t take the bait or sincerely didn’t know why the question was being asked. Prior to the debate, Santorum had made a comment, when talking about State’s rights, that a state could ban contraception if it wanted to. There were murmurings about it in the press and how extreme this position was—as if Santorum was talking about what HE wanted to do. He was just using that as an example. Recall that when Stephy first posed the question to Romney, Santorum started to protest, and Stephy waved him off with a “yeah, yeah, yeah you’ll get to rebut” type of wave.
He never had to because Romney didn’t play along.
The “coincidence” screams collusion
And one of our best FRiends is ahead of the game, as usual.

Amazing. Newt foresaw this weeks before it happened. He knows exactly what these leftists are up to, every step of the way.
Ever consider that Mitt was in on it from the gitgo? Didn’t bite and tuned it into a laugh and took Newt’s “kick the MSM” gig for his own. A great way to slam Santorum and Rick hasn’t figured out the importance of not feeding the mudgun with more anti-contraception comments.
So did Laz. Ping!

Rush mentioned this issue a few times recently. He followed up with comments by Stephanopoulos indicating a bet was made with Sawyer to illicit a humiliating response from Romney on the subject of contraception. Yes, this juvenile charade allegedly involved the aforementioned classless talent during a recently held alphabet channel debate.
I sure hope you’re right. I have zero confidence in the SCOTUS.
