In a Southern California campaign appearance, presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich encouraged California attorney Orly Taitz to continue her campaign to question Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility to hold office.
Taitz, who has filed several lawsuits aimed at securing Obama’s certified birth certificate and introducing evidence of his ineligibility for office, rose to her feet to address Gingrich in Pasadena. She suggested his lagging campaign could only be lifted by raising the issue publicly.
“It could help your campaign like it did Donald Trump,” Taitz said.
Gingrich responded by saying Taitz was better equipped for the role.
“That’s a project you should pursue,” he said.

There are probably still vastly more Truthers than Birthers. They, too, have websites, forums, countless YouTube videos, silly movies, even hundreds of scientists who absolutely believe the government either allowed 9-11 to happen or made it happen. So I ask you in regards to Truther conspiracy theories, "If there were not a real problem, do you really think this would still be talked about?"

Goofy conspiracy theories exist all over and some of even the most bizarre ones have a large following. Because something is still talked about doesn't mean it's not a batcrap insane idea.
There are still people who don't think we went to the moon - lots of them. Because people are still taking about it, does that make you any more inclined to buy into such nonsense?
Anytime we get a new president, we have loads of wackadoodle conspiracy theories that either follow or are generated. With Bush we got "truther" crap, wierd PNAC theories, Carlyle conspiracies (or was that his Dad), Haliburton conspiracies, etc, etc. With Clinton we had death lists, secret drug running operations, etc, etc. With Obama, we've had the Birther conspiracy folks. With our next President we will most certainly end up with another few loony ideas capturing the hearts of conspiracy theorists.
Birther stuff will never go anywhere. Obama will never be removed from any ballot, no court will rule him ineligible, no series candidate for office will ever touch this stuff, and when Obama finally goes away, most of the energy behind the birther stuff will just fade away.

I mean really, why should *anyone* spend a moment of time investigating or challenging Obama’s qualifications to run for or hold the Office of the President of the United States of America.
He produced a PDF on the WH website that satisfies all the experts that is is a genuine straight forward scan of a certified copy, right?
Didn’t he present that paper copy in court as evidence of his Hawaiian birth?
Wasn’t his father a US citizen at the time of BHO II’s birth?
Isn’t the definition of ‘Natural Born Citizen’ clearly settled law without conflicting opinion?
Hasn’t the press consistently called his birthplace Kapiolani hospital? (never Kenya or Queens hospital in HI)
Hasn’t Obama grown up and spent his youth in the USA?
Obama was never adopted by an Indonesian, right?
Obama never travelled to places that were restricted for US citizen travel by the State Department, right?
Obama never claimed admission or favorable tuition in US colleges as a foreign student. He showed that with his transcripts, right?
You are SOOOOOO right, this is a complete waste of time, thanks for letting us know.
Obama’s college records will show he commited FRAUD in college by claiming to be an foriegn student to get a sweatheart deal on tuition and federal aid.
Here is the catch-22, if they admit he is not a NBC the college fraud goes away, but the presidency is invalid. If they stick to the story of his being a Natural Born Citizen then they cannot explain his college records...

Gingrich should call the left’s bluff and attack “from the other side” of the catch-22 situation the president put himself in.

Noticing that Obama hasn't shown anything which conclusively establishes his 14th amendment citizenship is not goofy, and it is not a conspiracy. Nor is it goofy to notice that the CORRECT meaning of "natural born citizen" is someone born with no other allegiances.
Obama inherits Kenyan Allegiance and Property from his Father, and is therefore in violation of the meaning and intent of Article II's "natural citizen" REQUIREMENT.
Do you know what is goofy? That someone would persist in showing up on these threads after having been shown that they are wrong, and continue to question OTHER PEOPLE'S intelligence for noticing a rat.
No doubt your answer is "What rat?"

Maybe. I for one will teach my children that he was not a legitimate President, and that under no circumstances should anything he ever did be respected. His name needs to go down in the History books with an asterisk beside it designating him as illegitimate.
He was likely born as an illegitimate bastard (certainly conceived out of wedlock) and he has governed as an illegitimate bastard. The only thing worse are those who make excuses for him.
I would sort of agree with that assessment. He is attempting to not alienate her supporters while indicating that he won't have anything to do with the issue. Standard Political tactics.
Fact: Obama has never proven with certifiable evidence that he is a natural born citizen.
Fact: Obama has spent hundreds of thousands ( millions?) of dollars of his own and taxpayer dollars to prevent the release of common documents that ordinary Americans provide for many personal and government reasons.
Fact: A **real** American would be HONORED to immediately prove their natural born citizenship and would be especially pleased to do so for a member of the military!!!!
Fact: It would have been very easy for Obama to have provided a clean and certifiable copy of his birth certificate. Instead he posted a likely clumsly and crudely made forgery.
Fact: Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution is not a “technicality”.
