Last Friday evening, when Obama's supporters were still clinging to their belief that his announcement of a compromise would steal all the wind out of the bishops' sails, she asked this:

Why did we spend 10 days listening to prominent Catholics, including even some liberals and Democrats, insist that the White House had overreached and trampled on "religious freedom" - in this case, the "freedom" of the Catholic hierarchy to impose rules that even most Catholics don't live by? Ms.Walsh can't imagine that Catholic rules being defined and preached by Catholic pastors without government interference is a matter of religious liberty, whether individual Catholics choose to obey those rules or not.

The Left's God is government, from which all blessings flow and if the blessings don't come from government, government, the Dear Leader, will damn well get credit for it. Dear Leader Barry, just the other day, was taking credit for the jobs created by Boeing at its Dreamliner factory in South Carolina AFTER Barry's labor goons spent years trying to shut it down.

Government, the Left's God, is a jealous god and will stand for no other gods beside it. The God of the Bible gets in the way of the Left's Agenda with it's 3 million commandments, so God has to give way, it's important.

Did you hear Maxine Waters called Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor - demons? Did you also catch the part, where Maxine calls the House of Representatives 'our hall' and basically take possession of the Federal Government? That's how she really believes. Maxine sees government as her religion, her church and she believes that only true believers are legitimately allow to lead her church. Imagine how Catholics would feel if Jimmy Swaggart were made Pope. They'd go nuts.

That's how the left feels when a Republican, any Republican gets elected President, or when the Republicans win control of Congress. This is sacralige.

Now, RINO Republicans and most elected Republicans don't get this about the Democrats. They think Democrats are like them, but just push different political policies. No, no, no. The Democrats have been transformed into militant socialist religion with the goal to force their theology onto every, living, breathing soul. And on the way to doing this, they will be eating their own and tossing folks overboard left and right (Joe Lieberman) as the push their crazed religious crusade.

As Rush says, you must have the courage to face the truth. BTW, Romney does not have that courage, and doesn't understand the situation.

Yes, it is the self-perpetuated illusion of intellectual superiority that is at the root of what drives all that the ‘leaders’ on the left say and do. Further, this has its roots in the American and European universities that have long since stopped being cathedrals of open-mindedness and expansive thought. The ironic dichotomy between how advanced and ‘modern’ and bright the academic left thinks it is, and the reality of its vapid and predictable diatribes is astounding. You want to find ignorance? Well, here's just a few reasons which come immediately to mind:

1. Because if we force Catholic charities to pay for abortion pills today, we can force them to pay for abortions next or
   
2. force Evangelicals, Mormons and Catholics to pay for sex change operations or
   
3. vet all church leadership (regardless of denomination) for government approval to make sure religion stays out of politics . . . like they do in Communist China.

Of course, none of these examples (and hundreds more which they could spawn) bothers your average libtard in the slightest. Because if you can frame it as a women's right issue or (insert any other favored) group's right issue, then religion has no right to interfere in their demented mind.

Even though it makes about as much sense as saying my absolute right to sexual intercourse requires that you submit to rape whenever I want it.

That's very beautifully put. The only problem is this is no longer true. The Left celebrates the pre-enlightenment superstitions of savages and defends them against "European cultural imperialism" (which never means Marx and Darwin, for some reason).

Does anyone seriously believe anyone who taught Darwinism to Australian aborigines wouldn't be hauled in front of the World Court on charges of cultural genocide?
