Michelle Obamas pet project as first lady has been to campaign for healthier diets to fight obesity, and the cast on Saturdays SNL on NBC had a little fun at her expense.
During a skit mocking her campaign, former SNL regular Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama and Fred Armisen as Barack Obama pretended to be characters of the 1980s and 1990s hit sitcom, The Cosby Show.
Armisens Barack Obama (as Cosbys Cliff Huxtable) is caught by Rudolphs Michelle Obama (as Clair Huxtable) eating unhealthy food, with appearances from Jason Sudeikis Joe Biden (as Theo Huxtable) and Amy Poehlers Hillary Clinton.

But, SNL's goofiness making fun of Moochelle --- they went easy on her.
It would be nice if Cosby sued them.
Another cog in the relentless campaign to make the Obamas appear normal, mainstream, middle American jes’ folks. Morphing them into the Cosbys is about as blatant a move in the con job as they’ve come up with yet.
(And no, it wasn’t funny, but that wasn’t the purpose.)
I did not even know SNL is still on air?
How anyone thinks this skit is funny is beyond me?
SNL use to be a little bit funny 30 years ago. Again how does anyone think this is funny is beyond me. How do the Writers even have a job?
Bias on the looks here....Ms. Obama is somewhat flat chested, bow-legged with a decidedly ancestral Maximus Gluttonous i.e., her buttocks. SNL should be less biased...............
I’m constantly astounded at how many of my friends excitedly look forward to watching SNL. Yes it was funny years ago, but the last few episodes I happened to watch in recent years made my last root canal seem pleasurable.
My favorite skit of the night was the “reporter” asking two “impartial” guests if they would vote for Obama again after citing examples of his incompetence. No matter how bad the example was they would reply, in an educated manner, that yes, they would vote for him again. It was quite revealing, and true.
SNL could do great things with the POTHU and the FLOTUS. But just look at what the did - The POTUS was laughed at for wanting a hoagie; the VPOTUS - a white guy - was made to look like a hick buffoon; and the FLOTUS was made to look like the wise matriarch buy eating a rice cake.
The problem is that they cannot criticize people and policies they agree with.
So lame.
uhn, that's racist!
The show was hysterical back in the ‘70’s. No one can top Gilda Radner. She was great,as was the rest of the cast.
It’s time to pull the plug. It’s been on since October 1975 and the novelty has worn off.
Obama made demands on TV virtually 24/7 his first year.. I figured that it was only a matter of time (at the time) that Hollywood would have a variety of “reality” shows about the day-to-day White House — and vacations, fund raising, basketball, ritzy parties, golfing it was later revealed.
lame city. Although the intro was worth a chuckle.
It's kinda like a skit about smallpox. There's just no way to laugh at it.
I suffered through 3 minutes. It is just AWFUL and not funny at all.
You’re right — they way too light on their efforts to control what we all eat.
What do NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX and SNL have in common?
They all BLO.
I think it would have been better if they mixed SNL and the Dave Chappelle show. Cosby is too wholesome.
“VPOTUS - a white guy - was made to look like a hick buffoon; and the FLOTUS was made to look like the wise matriarch buy eating a rice cake.”

The VPOTUS actually IS a buffoon! I don’t dare say what the FLOTUS actually is.
I know, but what I was getting at is the only one they put in a bad light was the white guy.
They cannot attack or point out the flaws of the POTUS because it would violate their religion.
Ah...the show was called “what would it take?”
The premise of the skit was that Obama could club seals and blacks would still vote for him. It was a slam AGAINST the blacks who blindly follow him—and the whites who are shocked that blacks will still vote for Obama.
Some folks around here should DVR the show and have it after some coffee.
