In the near future the mankind will face a new ice age not a global warming. That is the forecast which has been made by Habibullo Abdussamatov, the head of Space research laboratory at the Saint Petersburg-based Pulkovo Observatory, who is a well known global warming skeptic. According to him the coming cold will be caused by a decline in solar activity. Last time our planet experienced it in mid 17th century until the early 18th century. Nevertheless most of the climate experts including the colleagues of Abdusamatov do not support his theory.

In the context of an ice age - it is worth noting that it was estimated that the glaciers during the last Ice Age took only 100 years to form and grow to 2 kilometers high ...
I don’t have the link, but I think it was on FR at one time.
The solar minimums always have longer cycles (along with lower amplitude). The length of the solar cycle, irregardless of amplitude, is a better match to climate than amplitude. Longer = colder.
Thanks!
I would think that the area under the curve is the better match. Although the Dalton Minimum cycles (cycle 5 and 6 in the early 1800's)are twelve years long versus ten years for the Modern Maximum (cycle 19 in the 1950's), the dramatic difference is in the area under the curves.
Thanx PapaBear3625. Is there a link for that info?
Enlarging soon.
Excuse I was just daydreaming about how beautiful NYC and San Fransicko would look under a mile of ice. All those libtardcicles might be dug out of the ice one day in the distant future by aliens who scratch their head when they learn the fools were only worried about warming, ala “AI”.
LOL
