Ann Coulter: WHAT'S THEIR PROBLEM WITH ROMNEY? (It's a Loooong List Ann)

WHAT'S THEIR PROBLEM WITH ROMNEY?

February 22, 2012
As governor of one of the most liberal states in the union, Mitt Romney did something even Ronald Reagan didn't do as governor of California: He balanced the budget without raising taxes.

Romney became deeply pro-life as governor of the aforementioned liberal state and vetoed an embryonic stem cell bill. (Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich lobbied President George W. Bush to allow embryonic stem cell research.)

Romney's approach to illegal immigration in Massachusetts resembled what Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona is doing today, making her a right-wing heroine.

Romney pushed the conservative alternative to national health care that, had it been adopted in the 49 other states, would have killed Obamacare in the crib by solving the health insurance problem at the state level.

Unlike actual Establishment candidates, Romney has never worked in Washington, much less spent his entire life as a professional politician. He's had a Midas touch with every enterprise he has ever run, including Bain Capital, the Olympics and Massachusetts.

The chestnut about Mitt Romney being pushed on unsuspecting conservatives by "the Establishment" is the exact opposite of the truth. The Establishment, by any sensible definition, is virulently opposed to Romney -- and for completely contradictory reasons.

The entire NFM (non-Fox media) hate Romney because he is the only candidate who stands a chance of beating Obama.

Meanwhile, many of the pillars of the conservative establishment also implacably oppose Romney. Fox News is neutral, but its second-highest-rated host, Sean Hannity, is anti-Romney, as is prominent Fox News contributor Sarah Palin -- who has also offered herself up as a possible presidential nominee at a contested convention. (Wouldn't a former candidate for vice president on a major party's ticket be part of the Establishment?)

The No. 1 conservative talk-radio host in America, Rush Limbaugh, is critical of Romney, and another top conservative talk-radio host, Mark Levin, is adamantly against Romney -- though both Limbaugh and Levin supported Romney as the conservative alternative to John McCain in 2008, and Romney has only gotten better since then.

You know, Ann, your mind appears to be clouded by some school-girl crush but think about this. If ALL your former allies are on the other side of this issue, it is probably not them who are thinking incorrectly. How’s it feel to be standing side-by-side with your old “buddy” John McCain and all the other faux-conservatives you used to detest?

I scent bias... bias based upon something other than ideology.

Bias most foul! Bias in it’s most base form! BIAS I say!

I sure am looking forward to when she publishes her next book. Would like to see its sales numbers as compared to earlier books. The falloff should be remarkable.

I agree that Romney is strange—he comes across as sort of socially retarded. But as conservatives, I hope we go deeper than picking our candidates based on whether their sense of humor would match our own. I am against Romney not because he is a dork (he is), but because he is a loathsome, corrupt, vicious, cutthroat, puffed-up phony liberal who loves abortionists and homosexuals.

And yes, Ann has a right to her candidate of choice, but as someone who has always portrayed herself as a conservative, she deserves to catch hell for supporting Romney.

"She said Sarah Palin is part of the establishment. Her argument is invalid."

She's completely insane. I hope she is shunned after this is over.

Sarah Palin is part of the GOP establishment?

Ann Coulter, ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it for her!

Ann: how long do you have to live in places like Manhattan or Washington, DC before Ruling Class Envy takes hold of your senses and shakes them into an intoxicated state of drooling subservience?

Our problem with Romney is the same "problem" that you would have had, once: he's not a conservative. He's not interested in conservative ideas. He has no core beliefs other than Mitt Romney. The GOP Establishment does love him, and they do so because he reflects their deepest value: masochism. They love to be beaten.

Look: it's not us, Ann. It's you. If you can still hear me and comprehend: get your bony ass out of Washington. It's destroying your mind. And you might want to eat a couple of bacon cheeseburgers on the way out of town, if only because liberals would disapprove. Besides: real men like women who look like women, not like some gay fashion director's idyllic vision of a woman, which is, in reality, a pale young boy with haunted eyes.

You forgot her ridiculous assertions that the GOPE dislikes Romney (name one est retread that hasn’t endorsed Romney ala McCain, Dole etc.), and that the MSM dislikes Romney because he can beat Obama (the MSM has done nothing but carry Romney’s water from the start because they a) want to guarantee a statist win in the general and b) because they know he has a snowball’s chance in hell of beating Osamabama).

Ann Coulter is completely delusional, and I am proud to say that I never cared for her. She’s loud and obnoxious. The word shrew comes to mind.

Why, yes, Ann! Finally I see The Truth! The scales have fallen from my eyes! Thank you, Ann!

The Truth is that Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Mark Levin...they are ALL idiots! All of them but you, Ann! You're the ONLY one who is not an idiot! The ONLY one who can see (something about that sounds vaguely cult-like, Ann...).

Good grief...reading your article makes my eyes roll so hard I'm afraid they might pop out of the sockets.

I liked Ann Coulter until she started backing Mitt Romney.

Suddenly she does not sound so smart. If she cannot see what people find wrong with Mitt Romney, perhaps she is not so intelligent after all.

Early-onset Alzheimer’s? Hopefully not but we could hope instead that it’s some reversible form of dementia that might improve with treatment.

It’s more likely that Ann is suffering from the same affliction that drove Arianna Huffington from her conservative views to having progressive views (an affliction that has made her quite wealthy). I think that disease is call OPPORTUNISM

Whatever it is, I’ve lost all respect for her.

The publisher may as well save some money and ship the next book straight to the dollar stores.

What Ann has on her brain is homo social and legal engineering. Mitt is all for “bringing change” to marriage and family as we have known it and he does not mind kiddos being programed in the public schools as sexual objects for adults either. Mitt was into that liberal comprehensive sex education (public school child sex grooming).

I figure Romney is a closet homo married to a beard or he is pushing for the good old days of Mormon poligomy and child brides. Ann is into gay social engineering activism and Matt Drudge is a homosexual. They don’t stand much chance of a conservative adopting their anti-marriage and anti-family social engineering cause.

Her bs about “the establishment” rejecting Romney is almost laughable. Five minutes watching the socialist press will show Mittens is their candidate. Also, every anti-conservative Rino in Congress came out of the closet for Mitt with McBackstabber leading the way. He has banksters and global corporatists in his corner. He is a global warmist and will push that agenda of enslavement on America so a lot of the globalists love him for that. He won’t rock the Muslim loving Homeland inSecurity industry and anti-freedom ideologues.

If the elitists can get Obama or Mittens in, they have the corner marketed for a global “progressive” corrupt and centralized future. Matt’s butt pleasure is not worth it to me; but Ann thinks it is great.

Ann, I am sorry to say it, but Willard is too vulnerable to be defeated by The One. He may pick up the wishy washy independents for a moment, but all it takes is one punch by the Left’s machine and those independents will scurry back over to Zer0 like children following the Pied Piper. Willard has not been prepared by any significant battle of wits to overcome the onslaught being prepared against him.

The only reason Willard has gone anywhere is because of huge amounts of money spent on negative adds. By the time he gets to the convention, he may have shot his wad. How is he going to make up for all the money he has spent after the convention? He will only have a few months to amass a huge fortune to counter the DemonRAT $billion that has come in from God knows where (Arab enemies?).
