If you think gas prices in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are getting out of control as they approach four dollars a gallon for regular, you wouldnt believe what some stations are charging in Orlando.
According to FloridaStateGasPrices.com, a Shell station in Lake Buena Vista, not far from the Walt Disney World Resort, was charging $5.89 a gallon. Midgrade was $5.94 while premium was $5.99 a gallon. Whether the prices are a publicity stunt to draw attention to the station is anybodys guess. But if it was a stunt its working. Word of the price spike has made headlines nationwide.
The Shell station in the Orlando area wasnt the only one to nudge prices near the six-dollar a gallon range. A Sun Gas Express and a Suncoast Energy station in southeast Orlando on Butler National Dr are charging $5.69 to $5.79 respectively.

Spring Break from “Occupy” gonna be a **tch this year! I don’t see many girls going wild with gas prices that high.
Canada has cheaper gas.
Canada has cheaper gas.
Canada has cheaper gas.
Woo-hoo!
Hot girls will always go wild and hot girls love the 1%. "Sure, babe, my car doesn't really need it but I enjoy putting in the premium, know what i mean?" |
About $5.58 a gallon for the premium.
About $4.99 a gallon for the regular.
For those that might be curious.
LOL! You’re probably right.
Do libs usually go away on vacation? Or are they more likely to draw the blinds and bar the door?
This is where Jim Carrey sticks his head into the frame and sez, “I’m going to Europe!” ;’)
Thanks tobyhill.
Libs love Disney
I’ve heard of captive market but this is ridiculous. Chicago is supposed to have the worst prices in the lower 48 and it’s only $3.50 for regular. Anyhow, Disney travelers should be warned. Fill up before you get there.
This article is 5 years old, I just like seeing the words ‘US,’ ‘massive,’ and `oil’ together.
http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/u_s__has_massive_oil.html
Your oil has quite a bit of sulfur in it, doesn’t it? I have read it is a little corrosive/hard on pipe and let’s face it: `stinky.’ Most of our shale oil, at least in Texas and Oklahoma, is being shipped light and sweet.
Another astonishing quality of this crude petroleum—I’m not really supposed to say anything, but ... it has remarkable effect on, well—I’ll just come right out and say: it enhances the male sexual organ.
(Get someone to read this to you, great white northern FRiend. It may not last for long.)
As the legend goes, some of the bored roughnecks, on lunch breaks and then into the evenings when they discovered its remarkable invigorating qualities, were experimenting with the crude, and they found that it made their One-Eyed Germans sprout another several inches, at least for a period of time.
In fact, many of the workers found themselves having to tuck the end of their frakking pipe into their steel-toe boots to avoid serious injuries, considering the dangerous work they do with rotating steel, lashing chains and so forth.
I have attempted to memorialize this astounding phenomenon with some doggerel:
There’s an ointment that makes willies bigger.
It’s a fact, be more tactful, don’t snigger;
..You’ll be hung like a horse,
..Not a real one, of course,
But a fair match for Roy Rogers’ Trigger.
USA! USA! USA!

Lots of cities in in California are worse.

This is good because all those profits go to families of oil companies, who in turn go out and spend that money to stimulate the economy.
