Michigan Tea Party Leaders Endorse Romney (Idiots!)

Boston, MA – Mitt Romney today announced the support of Tea Party leaders in Michigan.

“In my campaign, I have fought for the conservative principles of lower spending, lower taxes and less government intrusion into our lives and our businesses,” said Mitt Romney. “The Tea Party has been at the frontline of this same fight. Along with the help of these Tea Party leaders, we can defeat President Obama and finally get Washington out of the way.”

Maribeth Schmidt, Co-Founder Of Rattle With Us: “As a mother of three and a Tea Party activist, my main concern is the 15 trillion dollar debt and I believe that Governor Romney has it right when he says that he will look at every government program and ask two questions: ‘Can we afford it?’ and if not, ‘Is it important enough to borrow money from China for?’ His positions on the national debt, Right to Work, domestic energy, and reducing the wages of government employees to match the private sector are why I am supporting him in Tuesday’s primary.”

Dennis Moore, Founder/Former Director-Willow Run Tea Party Caucus: “Leaders lead without putting a wetted finger in the air seeking consensus. Mitt Romney will be a ‘Reaganesque’ president. I could not in good conscience watch as the Tea Party invokes a litmus test that Ronald Reagan himself would have failed. So I led by personally endorsing Mitt Romney. This country needs Mitt Romney!”

There's a large portion of the Tea Party that is small (l)iberarian. And they are essentially anti-Santorum. I would count myself among them.

Proof that just because you say you're something, doesn't make it so. Obama claims to be a Christian, Romney claims to be a conservative, and you claim to be part of the Tea Party - moles and other infiltrators are NOT a part of the organization they dilute.

Well nominating Romney is the final straw for a lot of people like me. Then it is all out assault against the GOP as they are no different than the Democrats.

Romney is no longer an alternative to anything. he is the establishment candidate. Gingrich and Santorum are the alternatives to Romney now.

You need to do some homework of your own to understand why there is a massive group of people not willing to vote for Romney in the GOP. The only sheep are those who follow the GOP blindly.

There is a reason the establishment hates Palin, Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, Santorum, DeMint, West and others. And A reason they like Romney, McCain, Dole, Murkowski and so on. I support candidates who the establish dislikes because they are real conservatives, mot “moderates” and truer to my beliefs.

Yes, it doesn’t matter what a faux Tea Party leader says...what matters is how the Tea Party rank and file vote. There are no leaders in this NON-organization.

The tea party is an ideology, not an organization.
Ergo, anyone claiming to be a leader, isn’t.

Apparently the Tea Party folks in Michigan don’t understand the conservative basis of the Tea Party movement. Fools.

I am a delegate in my precinct. I live in the most conservative county in Michigan (Ottawa). Our county gives more money to all other counties when it comes to propping up other candidates who are running against the likes of Stabmenow and Levin because we really dont have to try that hard to get a conservative candidate to win over here on the West coast. I had it out with Bill Huizinga on the phone when he voted for the debt increase proposal and I will not vote for him again. I will also not hand out his yard signs to the people in my precinct.

Tea Party leaders aint the Tea Party.

There is no leadership for the Tea Party, only those who make that claim.

They lead nothing. They may ask Americans to support a protest or rally, but it is up to the individual whether or not they come, and when they say they support Romney, it is only those self-appointed leaders who are speaking for themselves,

“Dennis Moore, Founder/Former Director-Willow Run Tea Party Caucus”

This nitwit only speaks for himself. Moore is all over the map on who he supports. He’ll be thrown out of the tea party next week. He supported Caine back in November.
