Senators Back Netanyahu in Pentagon Row

US Senator John McCain backed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu this week in a growing divergence of views with Washington on how to confront Iran's nuclear program.

On Tuesday, Netanyahu charged that US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey was "unwilling to aid Israel" in ensuring Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons.

Netanyahu added that Dempsey's assertion a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities would be "destabilizing” for peace talks and “not prudent” for America’s efforts "served the Iranians."

Siding with Netanyahu, McCain told reporters in Jerusalem “There should be no daylight between America and Israel in our assessment of the [Iranian] threat.”

Wow for once I can finally applaud McCain for something! And he is actually doing it without politics in mind!

Kudos for that, too bad he gave us Emperor Nero on a silver platter, as far as Lindsey Graham, they may as well elect a hooker in an alley in Myrtle Beach, they'd get a more conservative Senator that way.

Genesis 12:3:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

America is going to make a fatal mistake that there is no coming back from. We had better not turn our backs on Israel. We are already being judged by God for the 54 million abortions and the legalizing of homosexual marriage, etc. in our society. Oh, and for not believing in Him. Blessing He gave us are going to be far far away as America continues this road to destruction.

“US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey”

This is the kind of scum sucker that our military promotes today. If we had had guys like Dempsey running our military during WWII, we would have lost. All this bastard is doing is trying to protect his retirement. He has long forgotten what our military was set up to do.

McCain seems to love arming Islamics but then he also supports Israel?

“America is going to make a fatal mistake that there is no coming back from. We had better not turn our backs on Israel.”

I agree. I’m not sure the term “Realist” should be used for anyone who does not support Israel. I guess it all depends upon your world view.

And your point is?
1. You are not worried about Iran?
2. You are fine with Iran getting nukes?
3. Israel is a greater threat to the US than Iran?
4. You are a knee-jerk anti-Semite who is upset that someone in Washington has finally stood up for Israel against the Nazis of our time in Iran.
5. You use the word Newcon to smear anyone in politics who does not hate Israel as much as you and Obama do?
6. You equate putting one’s head in the sand with “career military realism?”

Enlighten us, please.

The point is that you don't find many career military men associated with the NeoCon foreign policy doctrine. That's why the NeoCons are sometimes called Chicken Hawks.

OTOH, you find many military careerists associated with the Realist Foreign policy doctrine

Speak English. As far as I’m concerned, our foreign policy should be based upon friendship with Israel first, then the rest of the world in order depending upon their relationship to us and to Israel.

Typical democrat/marxist obama supporting liberal worthless general. God save the America from worthless generals of Dempseys depraved sort.

God blesses those who bless Israel and curses those who hate her. Liberals are a cursed, angry, arrogant lot of fools and liars who destroy our once blessed nation, America, and us also who love God, family and Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
As for biblical prophecy, I beleive that the curse of Damascus has not happened as yer but will happen soon enough, probably when the Islamic and communist nations united to destroy Israel from the north. Damascus is currently occupied territory stolen from Israel and now part of the terrorist nation Syria, one of many Islamic nations united in intent to destroy Israel along the many liberals of America. God laughs in their faces and will have them in derision when He sharpens His sword and brings wrath on the nations who seek to destroy Israel.

Isaiah 17
1The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

2The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

3The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

4And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

5And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.

6Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.

7At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

8And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.

9In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.

10Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:

11In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

12Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

13The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

14And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

And I concur with your assessment there. Also, Psalms 83 speaks of this war also. These will take place before the Gog and Magog war. How long between them is of course unknown. I don't think scholars can agree if the Rapture will be before either, between or around Gog-Magog. Whatever, keep you eyes UP! His return is near! God bless.

This is merely nothing more than McCain’s public face. Behind the scenes, he’ll do all that he can to undermine Israeli support, working through others.
