Posted on 02/25/2012 12:16:14 PM PST by BCrago66

Livestream to the California GOP Convention. Newt is scheduled to speak right now; as I right this, stream is running, and people are milling about before the speech.

(Some twit seems to be harassing the camera operator with dumb questions.)

OMG! A neighbor of mine sat down with me to watch this. She was blown away and I was too! NEWT = $2.50

I think he is undershooting what is really possible...

If Middle East Turmoil equals a 20% premium, by drilling he takes us from $3.60 to $3.00 Flat via drilling.

What he is not taking about is the Premium we pay for all these Boutique Gasoline's and changing them every season. "One Clean" fuel might do the trick.

But that means deballing the EPA which he is talking about doing via reinventing it's mission.

I have heard this might be worth ..40 to .50 cents a Gallon if you remember this debate during the Bush years.

If he does these two things we are at $2.50 easy.

Increased production and economies of scale etc, and competition might drive prices down even further IMHO....

You just gave me a great idea for a bumper sticker for Newt:

Vote Newt! For REAL Hope and Change!

Bill O’Rielly has been complaining all week that the candidates are swimming in minutia instead of dealing with substance like energy. Please forward any/all of Newt’s links that “deal with energy” to Orielly@foxnews.com I’m continuing my campaign until O’Rielly gives Newt credit where credit is due.

Absolutely - I was spitting mad at BOR after the ARizona debate - where he fussed about no one bringing up the energy issue - when Newt brought it up in spades. And BOR never even spoke his name - only the others.

Ditto, post debate, the media interviewed each candidate EXCEPT newt! All the media is now ignoring Newt like he doesn't exist - giving him the American Indian treatment.

I think Newt has hit on his campaign slogan - LOVE the icon for $2.50 gas...and he finally reminded people that as gas goes up, so does the price of everything else. People will remember this when they buy groceries, clothes - everything.

He's making this a campaign between him and Zero - not mentioning the others. Again BRILLIANT

I feel a lot better tonight!

That works, too.

But it scares some people, who bought the propaganda that without the EPA, we all die.

The other one...enlarged version, please notice...simply hits the bottom line pocket book issue.

People are desperate about these prices. I know for a fact.

I wrote him twice, once during and again after his program.
You know O REALLY is egotistical enough that if he thinks the debates were so bad, he should have his own.

Since the only one willing to debate is Newt, O REALLY should have Newt on and openly debate him......I’ll take Newt for ten thousand.

Remember too that another old compromising failure, Richard M. Nixon, is the father of the EPA. Lots of Republicans consider this an essential operation, so uninformed are they.

Received my first piece of Romney trash in the mail yesterday and that is straight where it went.

“Politics has become a really nasty, vicious, negative business and I think it’s disgusting and I think it’s dishonest,” Gingrich told ABC News aboard his campaign bus in Iowa. “And I think the people who are running the ads know they are dishonest and I think a person who will do that to try to get to be president offers you no hope that they will be any good as president,” Newt added.

The image was very bad and the sound awful. I watched it on CNN stream, and could barely hear Newt’s voice, with the sound up to max.

"Couldn’t you just see him taking Obama down piece-by-piece? I mean, YIKES! Newt was DESTROYING him!"

Average gasoline price is now $4 per gallon, and $5 in California.

“Dang, I missed it!”

Only NEWT can, not only to beat Obama, but also turn his empty suit in a heap of throw-away rags. Newt last evening’s biting analysis of Obama’s energy speech in Florida was devastating.

Here are some excerpts from Newt’s speech:

BURLINGAME, Calif - Newt Gingrich laid out his vision for energy production in America and picked apart the speech President Barack Obama gave on the subject earlier this week.

“We have more than enough energy in the United States that we do not have to rely on foreign countries, but we have an anti-American energy government, an anti-American energy bureaucracy, anti-American energy regulations.

The long-term answer is Americans producing their own energy. We can be the largest oil producer in the world by the end of this decade.

Obama’s speech at the University of Miami was factually false, intellectually incoherent, deeply conflicted on policy and in some places just strange.

Approving the Keystone Pipeline, which Obama vetoed last month, approving a return to drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, and approving drilling in areas of Alaska, would provide 2.3 million barrels a day of additional energy.

If you would like to have a national American energy policy, never again bow to a Saudi king and pay $2.50 a gallon, Newt Gingrich will be your candidate. If you want $10 a gallon gasoline, an anti-energy secretary (Steven Chu), and in weakness requiring us to depend on foreigners for our energy, Barack Obama should be your candidate.”

Obama claims to have approved lots of pipelines.

Newt says what difference does that make if it’s not the right one?
That’s like saying we have eleven new Navy ships and they’re all rowboats!

Newt shreds Obama with the sharpest two-edged sword —>truth & humor.

The high price of gas is the deliberate strategy of the left.

February 4, 2009, Obama Energy Secretary said, “somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels of Europe.” (9 or 10 dollars a gallon)
