FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer endorsed Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination on Sunday, saying he is the most electable candidate in the field.

“He’s the man that can carry the day,” Mrs. Brewer said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“And if this thing goes to Romney, lay the blame squarely on Gingrich.”

If Santorum loses against Romney, he has no one to blame but himself. His performance in the debate was pathetic and he should have been prepared. Santorum talked in circles, tried to fire up a small base of voters over social issues, supported Spector and Sotomayer, has a very liberal voting record, and made an ass of himself with the totally stupid statement about politics being a team sport, and sometimes you have to take one for the team. He took one for the team, but it was the wrong team. Lol. I am glad we know now what a lightweight he is, he would be a disaster against Obama.

look, i’m going to explain this so somebody in elementary school can understand it...

say Arizona is populated by 100 people

say 20% of the people actually show up to vote...that’s twenty people

the republican vote is being split between three candidates...lets say each candidate gets an even share of the NON-MORMON vote

now, you’ve already stipulated 5% of Arizona is Mormon, and evidence shows in past causes that affected the lds, they have turned out in 80% numbers to vote in bloc as reported by the WSJ for Prop 8 in CA, i think the numbers will be closer to 90% to elect the first Mormon president

of that 20% turnout, just to make it easier i’m rounding that 90% to 100% and say all five Mormons in this community of 100 show up...since you have 20% as the figure for overall voter turnout, of that 20 people 15 will be non-mormons and split their vote between Romney, Newt, and Santorum equally
thats 5 votes apeice...then the mormons do their voting as a bloc and Romney has a 2-1 advantage

the solution, you either have to have one candidate drop out, or double the voter turnout for this simple balance to at least break even in your favor

i know this is simplistic, but this is an illustration of how they did Prop 8 right in SoCal in the middle of fruit and nut town, and the only way the gay politìcal machine got rid of Prop 8 was by a hell of a lot of activism and money to produce a 60%+ turnout to repeal it

i don’t know if you get it or not, but a small number of “for sure” voters really does balance out five times their number when only one out of five of the opposition goes to vote...in my county, we had only 13% turnout...i hope Arizona does better...and i hope someone else takes over the remedial math lesson, because i’m done

how do you think these lib entitlement plans get passed? the people who benefit all get the vote out while we stay home

how do you think cities in Europe and England are coming under Sharia law when they’re 10% or less muslim? because the muslims are all politically active, the rest of the population cares more about the soccer scores

its not that difficult to understand

Actually no. I would not anymore vote for Mitt Romney than I would vote for Barack Chamberlain Obama. I simply think it is really funny and a little sad to watch folks try to destroy anyone that dares disagree with them.
Mitbot? How original and makes such a cogent and thoughtful argument for your candidate.

You offer exactly the kind of vacuous analysis that one would expect from your kind.

Endorsing Romney is not a benign choice in a country that is gagging on its last breath due to establishment puppets from both parties. One would expect some understanding of that from anyone but an establishment supporter.

And when might that have been, Mr. Clueless?

The vote in favor of prop 8 was 2:1

Yeah, regardless of whom she might have endorsed, it doesn’t impress me that she waited until a few days before the election, when she could pretty much make sure she went with the winner. If Santorum was well ahead, does anybody think she would have still endorsed Romney?

In that event, she would have remained silent. The GOP-e has her re-election and future in their hands, and she will not cross them now.

Gingrich didn’t attack Romney at the last debate. I totally think he will take second place to add gravitas to the ticket just to beat obama.

That is incorrect.

Newt correctly pointed out his support of the "morning after" pill, at length.

Transcript of Tonight's CNN Republican Debate in Arizona

[KING]"And Mr. Speaker, you compared the president (I believe he meant to say gov) to President Obama, saying he infringed on Catholics' rights.

Governor, did you do that?

ROMNEY: No, absolutely not. Of course not.

There was no requirement in Massachusetts for the Catholic Church to provide morning-after pills to rape victims. That was entirely voluntary on their report. There was no such requirement.

Likewise, in Massachusetts health care bill, there's a provision in Massachusetts general laws that says people don't have to have coverage for contraceptives or other type of medical devices which are contrary to their religious teachings. Churches also don't have to provide that to entities which are either the church themselves or entities they control. So we have provisions that make sure that something of that nature does not occur.

That's why when I worked closely with the leaders of the Catholic Church, I met with the cardinal a number of times, and with his emissaries. We talked about the issues we were concerned about.

We battled, for instance, to help the Catholic Church stay in the adoption business. The amazing thing was that while the Catholic Church was responsible for half the adoptions in my state -- half the adoptions -- they had to get out of that business because the legislature wouldn't support me and give them an exemption from having to place children in homes where there was a mom and a dad on a preferential basis.

Absolutely extraordinary. We have to have individuals that will stand up for religious conscience, and I did and I will again as president.

(APPLAUSE)

KING: Mr. Speaker?

GINGRICH: Well, the reports we got were quite clear that the public health department was prepared to give a waiver to Catholic hospitals about a morning-after abortion pill, and that the governor's office issued explicit instructions saying that they believed it wasn't possible under Massachusetts law to give them that waiver. Now, that was the newspaper reports that came out. That's something that both Senator Santorum and I have raised before. But I want to go a step further, because this makes a point that Ron Paul has been making for a generation and that people need to take very seriously.

When you have government as the central provider of services, you inevitably move towards tyranny, because the government has the power of force.

(APPLAUSE)

You inevitably -- and I think this is true whether it's Romneycare or Obamacare or any other government centralized system -- you inevitably move towards the coercion of the state and the state saying, "If you don't do what we, the politicians, have defined, you will be punished either financially or you will be punished in some other way like going to jail."........

And your point is? I didn’t buy into that either. Let’s just let everyone vote for whoever they want and let the best man win. If Little Ricky can’t compete under those conditions then he is out of his league.
