And yet, after the very first Primary, Romney supporters demanded everyone pull behind a liberal nominee (Romney) so that he can run against another Liberal (Obama), so that Romney can get slaughtered in the General and drag the GOP down with him.
And if by some reverse miracle Romney is elected, we then have an infestation in Conservatism that we cannot remove.

The real ‘treat’ of a Romney administration will be the way his half-assed, almost-remotely-conservative-sounding policies that are actually liberal policies, will be both supported by a number of Republican squishes in Congress AND will be blamed on the entire conservative movement when they ultimately fail.
