Levin took to the airwaves today to expose Sandra Fluke and defend Rush Limbaugh over these attacks from Democrats and the leftist media. One thing among many, that I loved about this monologue is that when talking about Obama calling Sandra Fluke, Levin wonders if Brian Terry’s parents ever got a call from Obama. Awesome. He goes on to tell Brian Terry’s story.
But the end is where he really takes to calling the media out and defending Rush:
"I want the leftists at MSNBC, CNN, and the other so-called news outlets who are dressed up as journalists but are nothing of the sort, I want you to understand something. You don’t get to decide who the rest of us listen to. You don’t get to decide who the rest of us admire. You’re not going to succeed in driving Rush Limbaugh from the airwaves. I don’t care how many cowardly Republicans you speak to. I don’t care how many inside-the-beltway pseudo-conservatives you speak to and so forth."

He knew exactly what he was doing. When it happened my two female employees who are fans said “he’s gonna get in trouble for that”. I said NO! Rush is doing what he always does, “shines the light of truth on the liars with their own tactics”. You’re welcome dear. As a former liberal I can tell you that I know how they think and how they will re-act/act in any political situation. I have younger two sisters and younger two brothers who are liberals as well as my father, who proudly states he is a fascist . I once told my Dad, “Dad you’ve got all the historical perspective and political intelligence God gave a curbstone’’. We didn’t talk at all for a long time after that. Only my two older brothers are conservatives so needless to say politics isn’t something we can really discuss. Yes, we need thick skins. We need to have our facts straight, our arguments ready and we must be ready to deliver them with a good verbal left hook. Or a real one, if need be because I can tell you first-hand liberals are moral cowards. Not me though. I’ll floor a lib/leftie in a heartbeat.
If I could get an example of creeping utopianism to Mark it would be this:
"Imagine driving to the scene of an accident in 1950 where bodies were thrown through the windshield, including children, and asking if seat belts should be 'required' on all cars? The consensus is 'yes' and they are mandated.
Imagine being first responder to an accident in 1970 where the seat belt wasn't worn, people went through the windshield- and those that did wear them smashed into the dashboard? Should shoulder-harnesses be 'required' in all cars? The consensus says 'yes' and they are mandated.
Imagine driving to an accident to find injured passengers who bounced off the steering wheel and dash- some who died from the impact? Should air-bags be required? The consensus says 'yes' and they are mandated.
Imagine arriving at an accident scene to find the airbags deployed, but the child in the passenger was dead because his neck was broken by the force of an airbag snapping his head back and killing him instantly? Would you not want a switch to turn the airbag off for children riding in the front seat to protect them? The consensus says 'yes' and switches are 'mandated' on all vehicles with airbags.
If you wanted to do something to stem the carnage from such accidents, you're guilty of being human. If you supported legislation 'mandating' these remedies, you're a liberal- because a conservative would have made these safety changes available as an option to consumers instead.
As this example shows, the 'mandated' changes introduced problems of their own which failed to 'protect' as envisioned. The masterminds and utopians actually worsened the problem in ways not anticipated because they may have inflated their mastermindedness.
But, they were successful in destroying Free Will. My brothers and sisters (seven of us) climbed all over the seats of my Dad's Chrysler as he drove with the 392 cubic inch Hemi engine, and we survived. None of us ever spent one minute in a child car seat, not one.
I've wondered about the lingering effects of strapping children from birth to 90lbs. in what is essentially a 'restraint' device. Could it have unforseen consequences as some of the other improvements in safety forced on people, and children, in particular? [recall that most intrusions on liberty are for "the children" which, upon closer examination translates into "screw the non-children" quaint, huh?]
This is but one example of the gazillion ways government has taken it upon itself to inject it's 'values' into our lives while taking a liberty away each and every time in exchange for doing us a 'favor'. I won't go into light bulbs, toilets, coal mines, schools, airlines, or businesses in general because no one could live long enough to read it all.
Suffice to say we've been hijacked onto the road to Utopia and have nothing to say about what it'll cost or where it ends. But, at least we're still free cough,cough and so too, will our children be. After they pay off the debt, that is. "Free at last, free at last. Thank God-almighty we're...........splat!"
I am saying its not so much what they called Palin and Bachmann but what his own researchers found out about this plant.
