Sarkozy nixes halal meat in schools for Muslims

The issue of France's Muslims moved front and center into the presidential campaign with the incumbent, Nicolas Sarkozy, excluding on Saturday any special indulgences for halal meat or separate swimming hours for Muslim women in public pools.

Echoing his 2007 campaign, Sarkozy insisted that French civilization must prevail in France. He created France's first Ministry of Immigration and National Identity after being elected, but has since done away with it.

Muslims, and immigration, are constant themes in recent French presidential races, but the topic is rising to the fore with vehemence as the April 22 first-round vote nears - 50 days from now. The final round is May 6.

Critics say Sarkozy is ogling supporters of extreme-right candidate Marine Le Pen, who is third in polls after front-runner Francois Hollande, a Socialist, and the conservative president. Le Pen, who succeeds party founder Jean-Marie Le Pen, her father, has worked to erase the image of the party as anti-Semitic - but now castigates what she says is the profile of Islam in France.

There are an estimated 5 million Muslims in France, the largest such population in Western Europe, and the latest generation is making increasing demands that the country accommodate needs set out by their religion or their customs.

"There is no place in the republic for xenophobia, there is no place for racism ... There is no place for pools with hours for men and hours for women," Sarkozy told a rally Saturday in Bordeaux.

The team of Hollande, the Socialist candidate, castigated as "sickening" a remark Friday by Interior Minister Claude Gueant, who said that giving foreigners the right to vote in local elections would open the way to halal meat in school canteens and burqa-style bathing suits in public pools.

Sarkozy makes "scapegoats, stigmatizes" Muslims, said Manuel...

Halal meat being on the table legislatively speaking is going to happen sooner than later.

Wonder if Sarkozy would consider a last minute run for the Gutless Old Party nomination ??

Finally. A voice of reason in a sea of insanity.

I refuse to eat anything blessed and dedicated to a pedophile.

The horific abuse the animal suffers from as it is allowed to bleed out is nothing short of barbaric and truly symbolic of what that ‘religion’ stands for.

F those inbreds. Let them eat a ham sammich.

They're certainly more proud of their culture than we are. But I fear that Sarkozy and Le Pen will split the French vote and the brain-dead and the Muzzies will vote for the Socialist.

It is certaily possible. Hope not though.

Man, I just wish America had enough backbone to do some of the stuff the French have done, like banning burkas and etc.

I'd vote for him.

Guess we can probably drop all those "surrender monkey" jokes... The French went out and elected a real leader who's actually implementing the policies that he was elected to do.

He’s just following Le Pen’s lead, who’s had success based largely on Islamization issues.

Short of civil war, no matter what they do is too little, too late.

The French, and much of Europe have let way to many in already.

The US, incredibly instead of recognizing the threat to civilization posed by Islam and taking measures to deny entry to this country, actually elect one President.

Under the French constitution, there is a runoff between the top 2 candidates if no candidate gets a majority. Ten years ago it was a runoff between Chirac and Le Pen.

To kinda contradict myself, actually Newt IS saying those things, but our nation has become too pc-infested to hear and/or acknowledge them.

As for the whole Anglo/Franco/US thing, I'd like to be smart enough to write the book (that's probably already been written) exculpating the majority of the common French grunts for the treason and cowardice of their leaders in not taking the fight to the Nazis when they had them outgunned/outmanned in '38-'40.

But as with the cøwardice and treasøn here at home at the moment, some things seem destined never to change.

Once betrayed and effectively disarmed, and the resistance efforts notwithstanding, I think some slack likely needs cut toward the average Frenchie, trying to survive the day with the wehrmacht/luftwaffe/gestapo guns in his ear.

Again? Like in 2007, the French President pretends to be a hard-liner in the fight against Islamization of France. Meanwhile, Islamization is progressing, and Sarkosy does absolutely nothing to slow it down.

Take a random news item in France: “The Chamber of Agriculture of the Parisian Region confirmed today in a statement that 100% of the meat slaughtered in the Parisian Region was according to Muslim and Jewish traditions. “No choice is given to farmers in the Region”. (...) “In France it is estimated that 30% of the meat is slaughtered according to Muslim and Jewish rites as demand accounts for only 7%, 23% are sold as meat ‘traditional’”, according to professionals.”

Source: Le Parisien newspaper, Feb 21, 2012.

Got that? Every gram of meat you buy in Paris is Hallal. The animals are alive while their throat is sliced, and a few euros per kilogram go to an Imam.

An article in the Feb 20 issue told us that three out of the four meatpacking plants serving Paris and its suburbs were slaughtering animals according to the Muslim Hallal religious commandments. The 4th slaughterhouse specializes in pork.

So rest assured that Sarkozy, in spite of his fake attitude, actually helps Muslim conquer Europe.

He is not just a coward that doesn’t sound the alarm, he’s actually accessory to the crime.
