NEW YORK (AP) - A flower company is the 7th advertiser in recent days to say it is pulling ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program. ProFlowers says on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program because his comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke "went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company."

Men who truly hate women become leftists so they can say whatever they want about women and do what they want to them and pretty much get away with it.

I’m a “serial” customer of Pro-Flowers.

I have an account.

I think the company might pay attention when I close my account.

I started listening to Rush in Sacramento in the mid/late 1980s. He was also a regular on the local tv station debating the commie mayor of the People’s Republic of Davis.

I’m taking a different approach. Here’s my email to WTAM 1100 in Cleveland:

I stand with Rush. I know many of his advertisers have dropped their advertising on his program over his comments concerning the Georgetown law student that needs $3000 worth of birth control. I do not know if Clear Channel is considering any actions of their own. Whatever the case, please be aware that if 1100 were to cease carrying the Rush Limbaugh show, I will cease listening to the station. No more Wills and Snyder on my way to work, no more Triv on my way home, no more Bob Frantz and sports talk in the evening, let alone Indians and Cavs games.

As a lifelong listener since the days of Pete Franklin, I am willing to defend Rush Limbaugh’s right to freedom of speech and to not be pressured to conform to politically correct dialogue. Where was the outrage on the part of the left when Michelle Bachmann was introduced on TV to the song of “Lying Ass Bitch”, or the too numerous to mention vulgar references of Sarah Palin to female body parts.

The contraception “issue” is not about contraception at all, but rather an attack on the first amendment. By forcing religious organizations to provide birth control to its employees against the beliefs of their faith, the government is violating their constitutional rights to freedom of religion. The government is attempting to control the Internet and is systematically trying to control the freedom of expression and assembly. If the radicals succeed in their efforts, our country will hasten its decline as freedom and liberty will become just a footnote in our textbooks.

Reaffirm your commitment to Rush Limbaugh. 18 - 20 million listeners nationwide is a sizable market to abandon.

Sincerely,
Typelouder

I think i started listening to Rush @ 1988-1989.

I was going to use legal zoom because of ads on Rush’s show. Now I will find another company.

Send me dead flowers every mornin'.

Send me dead flowers by the mail.

Send me dead flowers to my wedding,

and I won't forget to put condoms on your grave.

I bet he will have one of the biggest audiences in his career this Monday.

And if new advertisers are smart they will jump into the empty slots left by Carbonite etc. by Monday and be heard by mega-millions, and their products bought by enthusiastic Rush supporters.

I subscrbed to Carbonite because I heard it on his show but am now cancelling. Never heard it advertised anywhere else.

Also concalling because a commenter on this thread said the CEO contributes to Media Matters.

I wish I’d known that before I subscribed!

I started listening to Rush in the late 80’s, I think. I wasn’t very fond of him in the beginning, but I kept listening. I wish an FM station carried him.

Thanks, got the msg. I’ve written and sent my emails and have specifically told my darling hubby never again to use Pro Flowers.

You know, we’re all human and make mistakes—and as the saying goes, choose your battles. But really what Letterman said about Willow Palin compared to this shows me exactly where I need to stand with my money and with my voice. This is one battle that I think I ought to stand up in and take the arrows.

It’s gonna cost me; I hope I’m strong enough to lose friends and maybe contacts I have in theatre. Yep, it’s gonna be costly. Damn. just damn.

And to think, we were told apologies are there to “calm things down”!! Now Rush’s has only riled the libtard Talibans after their Friday sermon! They want more blood blood blood!

I am unable to send an e-mail to Pro Flowers to tell them I would no longer order from their company. Looks like they stopped any e-mails so maybe the boycott is working. I still am boycotting Tyson’s since wonder boy Clinton was president. I know it should be a capital P but I have a very low opinion of him. Since Fox News is going over to the “dark side” we only have Rush & sometimes Beck to help us thru these “hard times”.

Excellent list of sponsors to contact. If even 1/10th of Rush’s listeners contact them, it will surely dwarf the number of people who complained about Rush.

I am disappointed that he apologized also. I suspect at least one of the reasons was to end the dem’s using him to obfuscate (sp?) the real issues they are attempting to hide.

Repubs and Conservatives need to find a way to counter attacks, for example, the attacks on Herman Cain. None of the accusations had any truth to them, as evidenced by the fact as soon as he pulled out of the race, all those women crawled back into the holes they came out of, probably wealthier, and the accusations completed disappeared.

What should a candidate do when attacked in this way by the Dem machine? I think unless they can figure out a game plan, Obama will once again enter an election with virtually no competition.

Cain tried to ignore the accusations, knowing they were false. That didn’t work. Then he rebutted the accusations. That didn’t work and all he did was take time away from his campaign message.

What is the solution? Going on the attack as soon as a Dem accusation surfaces? Attack who?

Are there any directions on how to counteract Ayers-type attacks?

Called ProFlowers. They have a recording on their comments line that they cancelled because they felt Rush had gone beyond political discourse. Spoke my piece anyway.

newt vs david gregory...

Thanks for posting that video. That pretty much solidifies my choice in Newt for president. There is not one other candidate that can put the MSM idiots in their place like Newt can........

I am proud to say that I have been a listener to the RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOW since it’s inception in OCT. 1984 in Sacramento on KFBK AM.

“I can’t think of anything I’ve ever purchased because it was advertised on his show”

Me too. Except Snapple, but then I already drank the strawberry Kiwi, and never bought any tea. I don’t like tea cold, or flavored tea. I did buy a spatula once.

I also won’t order from Pro Flowers as I have in the past about 4 or 5 times a year. I’m still boycotting Tyson since the Clinton days. We need a list of companies to boycott as I have lost my previous list & need a new updated one to make sure I’m not helping any liberal companies. Anyone have an update?
