I bet the petition mysteriously disappears from that site before I put my fork into my dinner tonight.

If you sign this, you are only putting yourself on a death list when he gets re-elected.

I wanted to sign as “Biden, Joe” but I’d have to register.

All the people who sign the petition die of “Natural Causes”
until it is released that they all had heart problems which could be linked back to the high obesity rate

He'll never resign, not without some serious charges are brought and he wants to avoid facing them.

I think even if he loses the election in a landslide, it will take a half-dozen Federal Marshalls to get him OUT of the Whitehouse.

He thinks it's his now, and he intends to keep it come hell, high water, or Sandra Fluke.

We need a list on Free Republic of folks that have been audited this year so far. I was after 35 years of never being. Five other members of our local Tea Party were too. Five out of 800 may be the rational number of folks that get audited, I am not sure.

We conservatives have some difficult choices to make. Signing this petition may be symbolic, but it has no actual affect and everyone knows it. This might as well be Dennis Kucinich and his monthly bill to impeach George Bush.

Here is where things stand:
1) Currently, it appears as though Romney will garner enough delegates tomorrow to capture the nomination. If that actually happens, a lot of us will stay home November because we just can’t bring ourselves to vote for him.
2) The Rush kerfuffal has allowed the left to divert attention from other things and, IMO, it will give them a cause and a reason to go after conservatives, conservatism and talk radio in a way we have never seen before.
3) We know that the left is not concerned about the future of America, only about increasing or adding to their power. To that end, they have reduced education to propaganda, driven God out of the schools and are working on driving God out of America, and are now desperately trying to maintain their hold on our healthcare as well as turning sex into a public sport; starting with the likes of Ms. Fluke!
4) As we watch our country descend into a third world abyss from which it is unlikely we will ever return, is hoping for victory at the ballot box in November or signing pointless petitions REALLY the best we can do? In the late 1950s, Rosa Parks objected to the fact that black Americans were required to occupy the back of the bus and took action. In the 1960s, black Americans objected to being treated like second class citizens and took the streets as well as becoming Freedom Riders; a cause that led to the death of many of them. Meanwhile, we conservatives sit around assuring ourselves that things will change in November. If Romney ends up as our candidate, we know how November is going to turn out - Obama will get his second term and America will breath its last gasp as a free nation.

So, I ask you - is this the best we can do? Are we so apathetic that we are unwilling or afraid to take the necessary action to regain control of our country?? At best, we can hope to divide America into two countries - one America for conservatives and one America for those whose sole goal in life is to suckle the teat of big government. At worst, we lose our country and our freedom and become Greece or Europe.

WE can choose what tomorrow looks like. But, if tomorrow is going to be bright and shiney, the time for choosing is growing very short. What’s it going to be - fish, or cut bait?

Yes, for a very long time now. The frog is floating upside down and the water isn't even warm anymore

You make some very good points.

Just FYI, Iowahawk is a well-known humorist. This is intended as a joke; no one seriously expects Obama to resign as a result of a petition. It’s just a poke in the eye as it is on the Whitehouse site.

Thank you. I am familiar with Iowahawk’s work over the years although I just haven’t seen anything from him for awhile.

It was not my intent to respond as a reflexion of his post, this is just something I have been chewing on for a couple of days and Iowahawk’s post seemed a good opportunity to “let fly”.

Needless to say, as the result of things that have ben happening in this country since shortly before Obama took over, DustyMoment isn’t a happy camper.

Yeah. That's the answer I was expecting but, deep down inside, I was hoping for something completely different.
