The MSM create an instant media hellstorm over Rush’s comment, but when it comes to the savaging of Palin and her family, they have shown over and over again that they happily CONDONE it. They serve their master (Obama) well.

The left gets away with their double standard behavior because they have a more effective and established apparatus in which to distribute, package and reinforce their narrative. The internet, think tanks and cable news have leveled the playing field somewhat, but it will take a lot longer to have an impact on those who only passively pay attention to current events and who by their nature are most susceptible to leftist talking points. Overcoming the huge advantage of, for instance, the entertainment and academia industries, is a monumental task of which the right’s apparatus barely impacts.
Breitbart recognized this and was starting to adjust that paradigm. Hopefully the progress will continue after him.
