......VAN SUSTEREN: So, is Speaker Gingrich right or are questions like these fair game? Back with Karl Rove. Karl, you know, I sort of, when you watch someone else do it, another member of the media, you sort of cringe a little bit. I’m sure I’m guilty myself of doing that, but Speaker Gingrich certainly didn’t think that was the most important question going into Super Tuesday. But is it a fair question of the Speaker?

KARL ROVE: Well, God bless Speaker Gingrich for taking David Gregory out behind the barn and giving him a whooping.....................................................................

VAN SUSTEREN: Well, if nothing else, you would have thought that though he might have learned in sort of asking a question like thought of Speaker Gingrich because I remember one time Speaker Gingrich practically took the skin off John King at a CNN debate. I mean, it’s almost as though that we’re sort of handing the ball to Speaker Gingrich so that he can just shove it down our throats.

ROVE: Yeah, right. Well, you know, it’s sort of like Gingrich, you know, they’re both, John King, you’re right, John King and David Gregory both threw sort of, you know, reared back on the pitcher’s mound and threw the ball, and there’s Gingrich with the bat on his shoulder just sort of seeing the ball approach in slow motion then pounds it out of the park, and well he should. I’m glad that he did it.

The effeminate David Gregory was unable to handle a response from a real man of substance and courage, Newt Gingrich.

The only other host I remember conducting his show as well was (yes) Geraldo Rivera.

In my opinion, no one before or after has yet matched Tony Snow. He was certainly courteous to his guests but always fearless in his questioning. RIP Tony. You're still greatly missed.

Heh...Okay, Rove is just another wonderful “Conservative” Republican supporting our candidates... He has nothing to do with the in-bread Republicans in the DC area...heh

Any idea that he is after power and influence is just a coincidence. Hey FOX, if he has no power, drop him!

Agreed. Tony was a good host. It’s a shame his news / pundit career was so short. RIP

Not against the poster...just my response to your post which did seem a bit pro-Rove... I have decided that he is the enemy of Conservatives and respond as such - no personal offense intended.

That exchange had a high “sort of” rate. That phrases makes them sound wimpy.

True conservatives should do what Gingrich did much more than they do. Which is turn the question around to the talking head interviewer. Seldom will you hear any of them say, “Isn’t that right, John?” And when they don’t answer and try to move the interview on, go back to the question, “Sorry I didn’t hear your response to my question. Do you agree with me?” The way it is now the media talking heads get a free ride and never have to go on record to show the public there true colors.

It takes core beliefs to stand and deliver.

If Newt doesn’t get elected he should definitely be the Chairman of the RNC.

He should! But we know that the GOP-e (as it is today) would never want that much discipline and 10th Amendment thought holding the steering position.

Unfortunately, Senator Santorum will NEVER leave. I don’t care if he has to cram the family into that guy’s pickup truck in Iowa again, he simply won’t leave. And as long as he’s there, a certain segment of conservative Christians will vote for him.

Newt’s going to have to figure out how to defeat Romney without those voters.

I saw the Newt NBC/MTP interview Sunday, Newt really stayed on the offensive and didnt let Gregory get a punch in.
